Classic Dub, But Don't Buy This Version,
By Jasper (New England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Blackboard Jungle Dub (Audio CD)
Blackbaord Jungle Dub is a certified dub classic, no doubt about it, but this cheap knock-off is not the version that you want to buy. Trojan Records' "Dub-Triptych" features "Blackboard Jungle," as well as two other Lee "Scratch" Perry LPs, "Dub Revolutions," and "Cloak And Dagger," along with some nice extras, all with SUPERB audio quality. Buy "Blackboard Jungle," but do it right, and get it as part of the legitimate and high-quality "Dub-Triptych."

essential DUB history,
This review is from: Blackboard Jungle Dub (Audio CD)
This album should be part of any essential reggae collection, and especially DUB collections. This is one of the first all-DUB albums and an unquestionable classic, full of choice rhythms.
I'm not giving 5 stars because my CD is obviously a cheap production with a barely legible back cover and no liner notes to speak of. There's nothing disappointing about the DUB, though.
