Would be nice if it worked,

This review is from: Blackburn Flea Rear Flasher Bicycle Taillight (Sports)
Pros: Very bright, useful in full sun. Very lightweight. Easily straps to seat post
Cons: The brightness is very focused so the unit must be mounted in a near vertical position. This means that clipping it on to your clothes won't be very effective. If you don't have an exposed seat post you may not have any mounting options. After 3 weeks and maybe 10 hours of use 2 of the 4 LEDs lost most of their brightness. I received no response to an email to the company, but Amazon sent a replacement right away. Unfortunately the second unit was DOA and would not accept a charge. Amazon wouldn't give me a third try, and I can't blame them. Summary: This is a wonderful light, if it works and if you have a place to mount it.

Excellent Supplementary lighting,

Great light to chuck on the back of my helmet strap for a higher lightpoint to supplement the mars 3.0 on my seatpost. I do a lot of night riding and even after a 1 1/2 months the battery is still not dead (chase mode, at least 15 hours). It's super bright but i only use it as supplementary to a more comprehensive light system (Cygolite 350 mitycross on front, mars 3.0 on seatpost, cateye on the rear rack point on my road bike. This is typically combined with reflective gear when I'm doing serious riding. I'd much rather not get hit by a car again and a lack of visibility will be no excuse if I do.) I'm also going to add the front flea soon to the front of my helmet and possibly one for the handlebars of my commuter bike).
However, I would invest your money in the usb charging version. I haven't had to use the battery charging system yet but it seems like a hassle. - Took +4 months for the battery to finally wear down. And I was wrong about the battery charging system, its wicked simple and easy; is excellent in case I go on any ultra-long bike journeys.

I ordered the Blackburn Flea from Amazon and it arrived on time. Upon activating the Flea, it failed to activate. I emailed the company to see what I had done wrong and get a tip on how to remedy the problem. Without hesitation, the Blackburn group immediately replaced the apparently defective Flea. I truly mean immediately. It took two days and the replacement arrived.
During my email conversations with their customer service rep. they asked what charging system had been in the original purchase. I had purchased the Flea with the AA battery charging system. When the replacement Flea arrived, it had the USB charger. They intentionally provided a second charging system to expand my options. From my perspective, that's a customer service "WOW!" The Flea, now operational is everything I hoped it would be. It is quite powerful and has a long battery life. For those seeking to be visible at night, this is a true bargain. Highly recommended.
