Would be nice if it worked,

Pros: Very bright, useful in full sun. Very lightweight. Easily straps to seat post
Cons: The brightness is very focused so the unit must be mounted in a near vertical position. This means that clipping it on to your clothes won't be very effective. If you don't have an exposed seat post you may not have any mounting options. After 3 weeks and maybe 10 hours of use 2 of the 4 LEDs lost most of their brightness. I received no response to an email to the company, but Amazon sent a replacement right away. Unfortunately the second unit was DOA and would not accept a charge. Amazon wouldn't give me a third try, and I can't blame them. Summary: This is a wonderful light, if it works and if you have a place to mount it.

Excellent Supplementary lighting,

Great light to chuck on the back of my helmet strap for a higher lightpoint to supplement the mars 3.0 on my seatpost. I do a lot of night riding and even after a 1 1/2 months the battery is still not dead (chase mode, at least 15 hours). It's super bright but i only use it as supplementary to a more comprehensive light system (Cygolite 350 mitycross on front, mars 3.0 on seatpost, cateye on the rear rack point on my road bike. This is typically combined with reflective gear when I'm doing serious riding. I'd much rather not get hit by a car again and a lack of visibility will be no excuse if I do.) I'm also going to add the front flea soon to the front of my helmet and possibly one for the handlebars of my commuter bike).
However, I would invest your money in the usb charging version. I haven't had to use the battery charging system yet but it seems like a hassle. - Took +4 months for the battery to finally wear down. And I was wrong about the battery charging system, its wicked simple and easy; is excellent in case I go on any ultra-long bike journeys.

I ordered the Blackburn Flea from Amazon and it arrived on time. Upon activating the Flea, it failed to activate. I emailed the company to see what I had done wrong and get a tip on how to remedy the problem. Without hesitation, the Blackburn group immediately replaced the apparently defective Flea. I truly mean immediately. It took two days and the replacement arrived.
During my email conversations with their customer service rep. they asked what charging system had been in the original purchase. I had purchased the Flea with the AA battery charging system. When the replacement Flea arrived, it had the USB charger. They intentionally provided a second charging system to expand my options. From my perspective, that's a customer service "WOW!" The Flea, now operational is everything I hoped it would be. It is quite powerful and has a long battery life. For those seeking to be visible at night, this is a true bargain. Highly recommended.

Badly manufactured,

The first light I got would not charge. The manufacturer sent a replacement right away, but even the replacement had problems and wouldn't stay on. Now I have to ship it back to get a second replacement... This is more hassle that it needs to be.

I purchased the Blackburn Flea as a replacement for a previous one that I had lost. It's flash mode last longer than 4 hours which is great for long bike rides which, provides visibility you can count on!

As bright as the sun in Arizona in the middle of June. Lasts a loooong time, it's weather resistant, SMALL, and very versatile. You'll need the jaws of life to pry open the clip on the back, it's super stiff. Other than that, it's a cinch to charge, charges quickly, and stays lit for what seems indefinitely. I recommend the USB version, as it's easier to charge and you don't need to use a battery up with the other model. Other bicycle lights are huge because their size is determined by the shape of the batter, and with good reason. If you're the type that needs to go long distances and you need a light that's bright and rechargeable on the go, then this light may or may not be for you. You can carry a battery or two and just charge it off of that, so there isn't a real downside. I recommend the USB version for those, like me, who travel at night sometimes and don't go a day or two at a stretch or anything like that. Highly recommend, and this is my second light. The first one was swiped off my bike ;( I clip this onto by backpack or by belt if I'm wearing pants. Just know that this is so light weight, that you might clip it onto your shirt, and it won't sag the whole thing, unlike other bike lights.

I accidentally ordered this version of the rear Flea after being very pleased with the front version. However, I thought I was getting another USB rechargeable light, and was surprised to see the funny battery lead charging system that this comes with. Be careful, this page is NOT for the USB 2.0 charger version, BUT if you happen to order this one anyway, and you already have the USB charger from your front light like I did, fear not- I called Blackburn and they said they're interchangeable. The little magnetic leads from this light can also snap onto the USB charger instead of the battery charger and it will still work. Nice to have options!

This is probably the smallest rear flasher made. Very brite. A true life saver for long distance bike riders. I keep mine on always when riding. Great and easy recharging system. Very, very light. I own four of these lights.

Wow this thing is very bright, super small and always clipped to by bag for my evening bike commute. I have the Flea front light as well. I love them both.
