Product Description

Dont wear yourself out filling a flat. Inflate your MTB tire with a few easy strokes with the Blackburn MMP Mammoth Pump. This long-stroke pump fills tubes much more quickly and efficiently than most mountain bike pumps. Its large fold-out T-handle gives you plenty of leverage, and the rubber grip areas guarantee the Mammoth wont slip out of your hands. The aluminum Thumblock lever allows the pump to switch easily from Schrader to Presta compatibility, and tough aluminum construction lasts for the long haul.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me., April 10, 2008

I wouldn't want to fill a car tire with it, but it works great for my bike tires. It locks onto the valve stem easily, and I like the little cap that keeps dirt out of the nozzle. Not a bad little pump at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid pump (based on prior model), August 4, 2009

I wasn't going to put up a review but someone who didn't even use this product was trashing all Blackburn products. That seemed unfair so here I am.

I have an older Blackburn Mammoth pump and it's very well built -- aluminum tube, rod, and valve-lock lever. IIRC, it can also be taken totally apart and lubed or rebuilt.

Looking at the reviews at a popular cycling review site, this pump, in its various incarnations, received over 4 out of 5 stars after 113 reviews. So a one-star rating here heavily skewing things is very misleading.

Dont buy this product. I have the other mountain bike pump which is same junk just smaller. Its 90% plastic which doesnt hold up even with very occasional use. Save your money, get something else.
