5.0 out of 5 stars Inventive
After finally getting a copy of this cd no thanks to Amazon "we can't get this but we advertise it" .com through Ebay I am very impressed with the savagery of the line up of this band. They follow in the great style of Norwegian black metal yet are ballsey enough to incorporate subtle tastes of other styles into their song writing giving this a very fresh but still brutal...

2.0 out of 5 stars ragnarok n roll!........hey, this isn't Gwar! where's somthing good?!
cradle of filth sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! almost as much as dimmu burger. these 2 bands are only listened to by weaklings and posers. ragnarok might be kinda cool if they didn't steal their name from a gwar album, but probably not. if Gwar knew, i'm sure that this lackluster band would be ground into sports drinks to be enjoyed by all of the scumdogs, and the scraps thrown...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD. One of few authentic black metal bands., May 2, 2008
This review is from: Blackdoor Miracle (Audio CD)
The sound quality of the CD is great. Clean guitar mix along with vocals and drums. The music is seriously raw and exposes a different side of black metal. There are no fancy keyboards which often kill the brutal black metal feel. This CD is a must for fans of black metal, true black metal (e.g. Absu, Enthroned, Gorgoroth, Dark Funeral, Emperor, etc...), none of that Dimmu Borgir stuff.

Only way to experience and understand the true feel of this CD is to get it. I am sure fans of black metal will not regret this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars A last true black metal band, August 9, 2004
This review is from: Blackdoor Miracle (Audio CD)
from the ice norwegian lands, a truly black metal band who plays tremendous, agressive and powerfully old school black metal; nothing of keyboards, samples or female vocals, this is pure and real black metal ( sorry guys of Dimmu Borgir). since the first and last song you can feel the fury and hate running trought your veins. Hail Black Metal, Hail Ragnarok

Inspired by the below review, I also wanted to chime in an call Icy Hell an idiot. I will definitely buy this album (maybe 2 copies) and revel in the mainstream tones

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't sound similar to the previous album, September 10, 2004
This review is from: Blackdoor Miracle (Audio CD)
The album is good, and the production seems to be cleared up, but there's ONE (or two) problems with this album that can upset black metal fans, and that is.....it shows HINTS of death metal and thrash metal, a big NO NO!

The earlier tracks are good, but once you get to the track "kneel", you can start hearing hints of death/thrash metal. I'm not saying i hate those genres, but for a typical norwegian black metal band...it's just uncalled for.

The album also sounds too mainstream a little bit, but not as worse as those cradle of FAGS or Dimmu BURGER. it hurt the album a hit, but if you like to hear a black metal showing hints of other genres, then i suppose this album is for you.

only good thing with the album is the vocals and the luscious artwork. gotta love it!
