This is a very pretty blue figure. He's a cheap figure to toss into your collection. That's about the extent of the nice things I can say about the figure. He is a bit bigger than I had imagined, height wise, he's rather skinny, but that's fine. My biggest concerns are his weird attempt at articulation, which I guess might be fine if his foot actually fit onto his stand. I think if his foot would stay on the peg, you might actually be able to put him into a decent pose, maybe one that could accent his head-tail and hide his "I just stepped on a nail and I think I might cry" facial expression that reveals his sharp, tiny piranha like teeth and his oddly popping out of his chest Blue Lantern symbol. Also, his lantern looks nothing like shown in the picture, possibly due to his re-release.

This figure was really a disappointment, but like I said, he won't put a dent in your pocket by any means, and maybe if you keep him in the packaging no one will notice his stupid mouth and pointy teeth.

I was really happy to see the quality of the figure was beautiful!

The thing that made me a little mad was the picture on amazon shows him holding the lantern he's supposed to have ((small almost nonexistent cones, and a short flat top and bottom)) the lantern that comes with the figure is just a repaint of Hal Jordans lantern ((large cones with large top and bottom)).

Over all the paint job is astounding, the way the light reflect off the shiny blue and the dark black. It's articulation leaves much to be desired but if you're a collector like me, you'll just leave it in the box anyway!

2.0 out of 5 stars Saint Walkin', November 24, 2009
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Blackest Night: Blue Lantern Saint Walker Action Figure (Toy)
Saint Walker from space sector 1 is the first blue lantern - a corps of lanterns created by two Guardians of the Universe who decided to embrace emotion. Yeah, lots of geek speak I know. The Blue Lanterns are similar to Green Lanterns but represent hope instead of willpower and are only truly powerful when teamed up with a Green Lantern (hope and will). This is a DC Direct collector figure.

For Kids:
Low marks for kids. Young kids probably won't know this guy from Adam. And aside from having a cool symbol on his chest and cool looking outfit there's not much here to play with as he's pretty stiff.

For Adults:
Sculpt wise, well there wasn't much to work with. He's basically a real skinny guy and there are some details on his outfit but the best work is on his head and "brain tail" where the light lines or hash marks and raised surfaces that decorate him have been sculpted really well. I can't decide what expression his mouth is making - I guess determined. His left hand is sculpted to hold his accessory.

The paint work is nice with a deep black in his costume contrasted by a metallic blue with very clean cut lines between them. The Blue Lantern symbol on his chest is clean and clear stark white on black. He wears his blue ring on his right hand. The eyes and mouth are clean with the eyes being perfect little black circles and the mouth a pink slit.

Articulation is very basic. He has a cut neck so his head can swivel left and right, ball shoulders and single pin elbows. The legs move forward at the hips (not backward or out) and he had single pin knees. That's 9 points - I'm not saying that's the least you could have but it is the least in this type of figure I've ever seen. From the waist down he can do nothing and only the most basic arm poses (at his side or up - take your pick). The wrists don't even rotate.

He comes with a blue lantern to hold. This looks nice in its metallic blue color and looks the same as a green or yellow (Sinestro) lantern. It's easy to pop the ends of the handle out, slip it into Walker's hand and then reattach to the lantern. He also has a blue stand with the Blue Lantern symbol on it. I have quite a bit of trouble getting the foot peg into the hole on his foot as it seems the hole is a touch too small. I've not had this issue with any of the others in this series.

If you're looking to complete the set then you'll want this guy and he certainly looks fine standing with the group but alone his lack of articulation makes him not much of a fun toy and his lack of visual pop doesn't do much either. He can stand on his own but it's much easier with the stand but that has issues of its own as well. Sorry but this guy doesn't do much for me.
