Best of Blackfoot CD,

I wanted to explore this group a bit farther so I figured the Best Hits should do it...,and it did. Like with any music, there were a few songs that didn't hold my interest too much, a high percent of them did. No regrets.

Since the demise of vinyl I've been trying to rekindle my albums in cd format but whoa, buying all those cds! When I saw this collection I decided to get it before buying most of the albums, at least I'd have some of my favorite songs. There isn't a bad song on this collection and my absolute faves are all present and accounted for. I strongly recommend this collection for any Blackfoot fan.

Southern Rock, Blackfoot's Greatest Hits, all on One CD = A1+!!!,
By Gary Covington "Southern Rocker" (Louisiana, U.S.A.) - See all my reviews (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)

This is some great Jacksonville, Florida, Southern Rock at it's best. On this particular "greatest hits", album, you get Blackfoot's original line-up, of Rickey Medlocke, (who is now with Lynyrd Skynyrd), on lead vocals, and guitar, Charlie Hargrett on guitar, Greg T. Walker on bass guitar, and the late/great Jackson Spires on the drums. They chose the name Blackfoot, as a tribute, to their Proud, Native American Heritage. Rickey Medlocke & the late/great Jackson Spires wrote most of the songs on this CD.Shorty Medlocke, Rickey's Granddad, also contributed to the song writing. Mr. Shorty wrote the big hit "Train, Train", and also co-wrote, "Fox Chase". Mr. Shorty was a legendary bluegrass musician, down in Jacksonville, Florida. He introduces some of the songs, like "Fox Chase", "Rattlesnake Rock N' Roller", and he even starts off the song "Train, Train", with his great hormonia muisic, and makes it sound just like a train. This is some great Southern Rock at it's best, by the "Original Blackfoot", and I highly recommend it. Thanks and enjoy!!!!
