Little comfort in these boots. I thought I would switch from the standard Danner, but went right back to my old boot!

These boots envelop your feet in soft & expensive feeling luxury. They are indeed very light and super cushy. They are soft on the inside but tough, hard and combat-ready on the outside, not an easy combination to achieve I think.

Greatest boots of all times! These boots are stupid, in a good way. I support what the 5 star reviewers said whole heartedly so I won't repeat what they said. when you first receive the boot and quickly try to "throw" them on you are wrong... take them off now!! Make sure the paper is out of the toe, make sure that the strings are loose all the way through, then take out the insoles. This may be the most controversial thing I will say in this review but it is what I believe. the insoles are thick, too thick. Your feet have all of those nerve endings on the bottom of them for a reason. They are the first alert to the rest of your body and posture. Thick insoles give you the illusion that you are walking or running properly, by effectively deadening the nerves of the foot and sending pain straight to the knees, hips, back, neck, brain-stem. The boots may be a little uncomfortable at first. If you want to try to break them in faster you can wear them in the shower and run around with them on drying them out as much as you can. I prefer to let them break in naturally. Good military style boots usually suck for months before truly being broken in, once they are, they are the most comfortable thing you will ever step into. reviewer who said they were uncomfortable probably didn't do this.Beyond my diatribe about feet, These boots are the $#!T!! They look like they were made for kicking wild warthogs to death. The tread on these bad boys look like a mix of shark and cow teeth. Traversing any sort of debris at a high speed won't be a problem for; I'm assuming, years to come. The heel and toe of the boot will only shine brighter with every passing day, because I will give these a proper spit-shine with straight black KIWI boot polish, a ripped up tee shirt, and a KIWI horse hair brush... google how to shine boots "army style". Not often do you get a boot that looks better every day... always ready 6stars

Good boots!,
First time i used this boots, i did 10 mile hike on one of the Colorado 14ers. My feet were dry all the time during the hike, i didn't get any blisters. This boots provide good ankle support - didn't twist even once with 25lbs. backpack! the only problem it gets a bit hot in them, but lining wicks away all moisture and feet stay dry anyway, just get good boot socks, and you're good!

I want to like these boots...,

I want to like these boots: The tread seems very good (Vibram is a great company), the toe box is roomy, they're light and they seem durable...
...but, the sole of these shoes are messed up. There's this weird ridge down the center of the soles that dig into my feet when I move in them. Maybe I got a defective pair. The otherwise positive reviews lead me to believe that this may be the case. I ended up getting a pair of Bates instead and will be returning these. |
