Blackhawk Web Duty Belt with Velcro

My hands are a tad arthritic and I hate fumbling with a buckle, especially when going through airport security. The velcro Blackhawk belt allows me to zip through security without having to take my belt off and without worrying if my pants will fall down while walking past the TSA folks.

I originally purchased two of these belts from Amazon. They arrived MUY PRONTO (which is one of the reasons I love Amazon.) But they were WAY TOO BIG, so I ordered two more, two sizes smaller.

The belts are just a little harder going through the belt loops on my pants because they are stiffer than the thin leather belts I am used to. But, they hold well, especially the velcro and I am please with this aspect.

Just be careful on ordering the right size... the folks at Blackhawk need to get a tape measure and check their descriptions of how long these belts are.

If it weren't for the weird measurement and trial & error method of getting the right size, I would have rated this 5 stars, instead of 4.

I'm a reserve police officer, had to replace some equipment. If you're looking for a velcro inner duty belt that the duty rig fastens to with hook and loop closures, look somewhere else. This is a nylon belt that closes with velcro. If you want to use it as an inner duty belt you will need to also purchase belt keepers. For what it is, a somewhat not stylish black nylon belt with a velcro buckle, it works fine, but this is not a velcro inner duty belt used to keep a pistol belt/equipment belt from sliding around. I'm not sure why they label it the way they do, but don't misunderstand what you are buying.

Overall, this is a great product, and I would've given 5 stars if the product description included the actual length of each size.

I agree with the previous reviewer that the description should include more information about the size. I'm not using this as an actual belt, but more of a "quick-release strap." I needed something in the 40 inch range. I read the previous review and saw that the belts tended to be on the large size, but not knowing the actual length, I erred on the side of caution and ordered the 38-42 inch size. The actual length is ~49 inches. The extra length isn't much of an issue for me, but knowing the actual length up front, I probably would have ordered the smaller size.

Maybe we can get 3 other reviewers to post the actual length of the belt they ordered.

This is my second velcro web belt. The first was flimsy and the velcro was on both sides of the end of the belt, so it needed to be doubled over to close. This Blackhawk belt is heavier and wider, so it never folds horizontally or bunches up. It also has the velcro placed so it matches up without having to double it over, making for a comfortable fit. I simply use this belt to hold up my pants, it's great when traveling, no metal to set off security at the airport!

belt is very well made, the velcro is stitched very well onto the nylon, its very thin so I can get my keepers on alot easier than a leather belt. it would be perfect if it had the soft side of velcro extended to the outside of the belt. would probably purchase 3 more if it had that feature.

Love the simple concept of the velcro. Always the perfect fit. I agree with the other customer reviews, that the belts are cut a little to long, with the extra length and smaller waist, it is harder to run the belt through the front loops and have it stick.

I love Blackhawk Quality, but that's where it ends. Each item is great by itself, but they don't work with each other. I bought this and a 2" outer belt, the outer belt doesn't hook with this "inner" belt. How can they call this inner belt if it doesn't work with the outer belt? Also the dual magazine holder doesn't fit on either this or the outer belt. I wish Blackhawk would provide information about what works with what. I can't figure this out just by looking at tiny web pictures. Also, getting the right size is a problem as mentioned by other reviewers. I ended up going to a local store and getting what I need off the shelf. It's more expensive than getting it from Amazon, but it only needs to be done once.
