Product Description

The Blackjack BJ002 firefighter helmet flashlight holder is made of 6061 aluminum, mounts a flashlight (sold separately) to the brim of a firefighting helmet (sold separately) parallel to the line of sight of the wearer for hands-free flashlight use, and fits Streamlight ProPolymer 4AA series flashlights. 6061 aluminum resists heat and corrosion even after surface abrasion. The holder is lightweight (1.8 oz.), mounts under most helmet brims to protect the flashlight, and is held in place with three set screws. When attached to standard North American helmets, the holder provides three points of contact between the flashlight and the helmet (at the front of the light, at the holder, and at the back of the light) to help keep the flashlight in place.

Blackjack Safety manufactures helmet-mounted lighting for firefighters and industrial mounted lighting products. The company, founded in 2004, is headquartered in Phoenix, AZ.

Bought as a gift for my boyfriend who is a firefighter, along with a Streamlight flashlight. He loves both and uses them on his helmet whenever he gets a chance. However, he currently only has one of each, the weight of which causes the helmet to be somewhat lopsided, so I would recommend buying one for each side of the helmet if possible for equal weight.

Durable, Easy to install, holds light firmly and with a low profile. Was worried it would be too bulky or my light would not fit my light, but it's perfect.

Pro: Holds the light tight as described.
Sturdy construction

Con: needs a bit more space to attach to helmet. Had to force it onto the brim more than I wanted.
Tightening screws are small and could easily be lost

Will buy again if needed.

I've been a Firefighter for just over seven years and have gone through a few of those cheap rubber straps that are supposed to hold your flashlight. Those are fine until they dry rot or melt and you lose your flashlight. The Blackjack mount is super secure and I feel confident that it will last for a very long time, hopefully the rest of my career. I would buy another one in an instant if something ever happened to mine.

Good product but the screw that holds the light in place rusted away, could use aluminum or stainless steel.
