TOP 30 BEST SELLING ACTION & ADVENTURE ON AMAZON!

LUKE ROMYN, AUTHOR OF AMAZON TOP 20 BESTSELLING HORROR, THE DARK PATH, AND AMAZON TOP 20 BESTSELLING ACTION & ADVENTURE, BEYOND HADES, BRINGS YOU ANOTHER NON-STOP THRILL RIDE!

"A non-stop adrenalin rush! ... Ludlum would have been proud, or jealous. A big time five-star read which you don't want to miss!"
-- Claude Bouchard, author of Vigilante

Nobody can escape their past. It will always be there, returning to haunt you in the darkest times of your life.

Mike Swanson knows this - his past torments him daily and he sets himself upon a path of death and misery. He justifies his dark deeds by enacting them upon those he perceives as evil, not knowing that the real evil lies within himself.

Killing the scum of society, Mike becomes one of them and draws the attention of a group who require people with his skills. Unwillingly enlisted into the notorious 'Blacklisted Brotherhood', Mike must first survive horrendous training in order to hunt down a madman whose deeds will see the world plunged into anarchy if he succeeds.

Blasting across continents in their pursuit of justice, the team will come together in ways that they had never imagined and must learn to trust each other if they are to survive.

For if they die, it could mean the end of freedom.

Will Mike survive the confrontations in order to see out the mission? Or will he cut loose and run from the responsibility that has been placed upon him? Why should he care for the people of the world when they have never cared for him?

Why indeed...?

"An Intense Ride!!! ... Luke Romyn is a master of suspense and non-stop action... a story that gives the reader an intense ride into a world filled with guns, blood, fights, death, sex, passion, determination, insanity, evil, and even love, albeit a twisted, broken thing." -- American Leo

"Hooked from the start... There's never a dull moment for the characters or the reader. Any fan of action stories must read Blacklisted."
-- Christy Brown

"What's Yer Major Malfunction, Soldier??!! ... The pace was PERFECT in fact and drove me along like a military humvee on a mission to the end."
-- E. Kelly

"A Kick Ass Thriller... The writing is tight, pacing is good, and the main character is appealing, despite his violent past."
-- Richard P.F.

"A gripping page turner! ... Action packed with some very well placed wit throughout. This is definitely a must read."
-- Tina Lewis

Editorial Reviews

About the Author

Luke Romyn was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1975. His life since reads like something out of his novels: heavily entrenched in personal trauma, action, thrills, and adventure.

For over two decades, Luke has worked in the security industry; from bouncing in some of Australia's roughest pubs and nightclubs to protecting Mickey Mouse and the Disney crew from the overzealous jaws of tenacious toddlers. He's been bodyguard for celebrities internationally and chased feral pigs and snakes from jungle sets on Steven Spielberg productions. Luke has traveled the globe and spent time in some of the most amazing locations the world has to offer.

This experience fuels the Australian writer's ever-expansive imagination, and he pours it into his novels, combining fact with fiction, history with fantasy, delivering engrossing action-thrillers which leave fans gasping for more. Luke's quick wit has seen his social media following explode, and he is currently one of the most prolific social media celebrities in Australia, with several hundred thousand followers across the internet.

Publishing his first book, The Dark Path, in 2009 saw it voted in the top 10 horror novels of that year, even though Luke denies ever intending the novel to be classed as horror. Luke Romyn is now one of the most popular indie authors in the ever-growing eBook market and personally completes everything from cover art to final formatting, working tirelessly with editors so as to refine the best stories possible for his readers. The results are international bestsellers you're certain to love diving into. Hundreds of thousands of readers can't be wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED. IT. December 18, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
First of all, it's a stand alone book, not related to The Dark Path, Luke Romyn's other book.

The beginning is a little bit annoying (to me) with all the flashbacks, but keep reading, it's action non stop after that !

Mike Swanson, the hero, is a criminal, the kind that goes after other criminals who are free instead of being in prison. One day he's caught by the police and he thinks that it's the end for him... Actually it's not, he's recruited to be part of a super secret unit who works for the Government.

From that moment, the book becomes a real page-turner, it was very difficult to put it down. As I said, there's a lot of action, but you also have to guess who the good guys are and who the bad ones are almost til the end.

The writing is very good and also very funny.

I have to say that my favorite character is Benny the weirdo (as I call him), he is a real scene stealer. I'm not gonna say anything more about him, you'll have to understand why by yourself...

1.0 out of 5 stars gave up June 10, 2012

This book has a lot of good reviews. I suspect they are mostly for the political orientation of the book than the book itself.

This is an excerpt that will tell you all you need to know about the political leanings of the book.

"reports lead us to believe Samuels has various unknown associates positioned high within the American media. We believe they would release the story, complete with evidence of our involvement in the attacks on the World Trade Center, were it ever discovered America had Samuels killed."

It is just not even remotely believable that an action the size of 9/11 could have been carried out by the US government and kept secret this long.

The book starts out with a vigilante killer - Mike Swanson - who is the "hero" of the story. He apparently became a remorseless murderer due to being abused as a child.

He tries to commit suicide at school but is saved by the janitor who takes him in and teaches him to box. He becomes a pro fighter eventually, but never really gets past his abusive childhood.

Later Mike becomes a bouncer.

The cops figure out he is the vigilante killer and take him into custody but a secret government agent comes in to the police station, overpowers all the cops and takes him away to be trained as an assassin for the government.

It gets worse - less and less believable as the book goes on.

I just gave up on it at location 2154 of 7117 when I encountered the startling revelation about who was actually responsible for 9/11. It is just not worth wasting anymore of my time on this kind of book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Boys Have The Best Toys! February 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I read Luke Romyn's The Dark Path first.

So I knew I'd get a great gritty adrenalin pumped read.

I was initially surprised by the reality of this story, the nasty reality which shaped the character/s.

Luke takes you deep to mingle with characters who are colourful, uniquely and extraordinarily skilled, who are mostly abhorrent but sometimes quite lovable.

This story is one that will have you wanting to feel the burn of the workout because the character does.
(well it did me I had to pause the story and start working out)

You'll feel as if you're running, flying, fighting, screaming and laughing maniacally alongside these amazing people.
You will fear the madness, cringe in battle and ROFL at the humour that is so Luke Romyn.

Not to mention the toys! There's some mean machines in this book! Trust Me, You will be wishing you could drive!

A relevant setting that really makes you think and then realise we have no idea of what is truly going on in our world.

An exceptional read, with some of the best characters I've ever met!

Get down, get gritty, get Blacklisted, see if you make the cut.

Thanks Luke!
