5.0 out of 5 stars Method Man & Redman Shine in BLACKOUT!, February 2, 2000

This review is from: Blackout! (Audio CD)
Though almost everyone knows of Meth's serious talent, not many were sure of the Doc's. Through the Wu-Tang, Tical, and Tical 2000, Method Man has built himsef quite a respectable following and reputaion. His voice, style, and attitude appeal to many people in a very wide age bracket. Some of his many hit songs are "All I Need", "Bring The Pain", and my favourites, "METHOD MAN"(both the remix & the original). Though Redman has been around for a few years, most people only found out about him when he released his album DOC'S DA NAME in 1998. This was a very successful album. It was easy to see (or should I say "hear"?) as about every third car was blasting "I'll Bee Dat" out of its windows. What makes BLACKOUT! such a success is Meth's deep and somewhat dark rapping style combined with Redman's fun and easy hip hop beats. When the two got put together it was pure magic. Of course there were already early signs of this magic with the songs "How High" and "Big D.O.G.S." which Red and Meth did together. The entire BLACKOUT! CD makes me want to get up and dance. I bought it the day after it came out on the shelves and I knew right off what a hit it would be. "Da Rockwilder" (track 7) is an incredible song that hit everybody by storm with its great beats, lyrics, and energy. Luckily, unlike many other albums, that power and energy is carried through the entire CD. If, somehow, you haven't yet heard even a tiny little bit of this CD, listen to just one song and you will be convinced. If you don't own this CD, go buy it! It's well worth it. BLACKOUT! is my favourite CD and I feel it definitely deserves the 5 star rating that I gave it. I recommend it to everyone and anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars pure talent, September 20, 2001

This review is from: Blackout! (Audio CD)
this album is one of the hottest and best ulbams to be ever realesed in the world of hip hop. it shows real talent and it also grabs you from thinking about real life situations. it stop people from listening some of that deep hip hop that is written from the heart and it supposed to explain how some people live their lives, and now they are making millions by explaning their lives to you. this album relaxes your mind and stop you from thinking about the real life, which is what we do everyday. it takes you from reality into the world of jokes, fun smoking trees , which is a lot of fun if you think about it. i bought two copies of this album and i have in one for my car and one in the house.
if you dont have i suggest you get it right now.
