I used to be a tree hugging hippie chick vegetarian, until I read Boyd's book on Blacktails. It has changed my life! I traded in my sandals for a nice used Martin Maverick. I bagged my first 4 pt. with my bow yesterday, it was quite a spiritual experience. The buck materialized out of the mist right underneath my stand! I had Buck Jerky for Thanksgiving... Thanks Boyd!

Boyd's BLACKTAIL TROPHY TACTICS is an excellent book that every blacktail hunter should have. Boyd has made a science out of hunting blacktails and shares information that most hunters wouldn't gleen in five lifetimes of blacktail hunting. This book has totally changed my scouting and hunting stratagies, and the results show! If you haven't read this book, you are missing out- for anyone from beginner to advanced, read and learn.

There are few books written on blacktails, and this man trully understands them. When I read this book I thought Boyd could read my mind. All of my life I obssesed for blacktails like Boyd. I was use to hunting whitetails in WA, so when I got transfered to the oregon coast I got quite a shock the way you hunt these deer is completely diffrent. I have read this book before every season and have bagged a buck every year! So if you want info on blacktails get this book.

Boyd Iverson is a self-taught trophy Blacktail deer hunter. He learned through hard work and observation. He saves the reader some of the hard work and time by passing along his great knowledge in a well written easy to read book called "Blacktail Trophy Tactics". I've been hunting Blacktails in California for 40+ years and have taken several with archery equipment, yet I learned a lot from "Blacktail Trophy Tactics".

Boyd Iverson offers many helpful tips and suggestions for hunting blacktails. He covers many questions regarding the habits and habitat of the blacktail deer. This book is an great source of information for anyone interested in learning more about blacktails and how to hunt them. You don't have to be a trophy hunter to be able to use the information in this book
