5.0 out of 5 stars Great game.
If you're a fan of the comic books or even the movies you should love this game. There are a wide variety of enemies which include humans, zombies, and of course vampires. There's also a good selection of weapons and ammo. Different bullets cause different damage to enemies like silver hurts vampires the most. The controls are a little difficult at first but I got used to...

3.0 out of 5 stars Blade- a let down
Ok, let me start by saying this is not a terrible game. However, for the price of around ... it was not worth my money.

The look of the animation is almost exactly like the Spiderman game put out earlier this year by Marvel. It's ok animation but nothing on par with FFIX cut scenes or anything like that. I was a little disappointed by Spiderman's animation too...

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost as good as the film!, November 29, 2000

This game is truely fantastic. Large, indepth, enveloping levels. A great storyline with not just one ending. A huge array of enemies and the ability to play as Whistler aswell as the Daywalker himself. The arsenal you get to use is amazing too though the sound effects letting them down slightly. The only other critsism is that the AI is lacking slightly but as this game is on the slightly dated PlayStation now it does show that you can still make some quality games on it. Definatley worth 5 stars. I'm just waiting for the sequel now.....

5.0 out of 5 stars I Enjoy Playing It, March 26, 2001

I thought that after watching the film that i would be dissapointed when i played Blade on the playstation, but when a friend lent it to me i had to buy it. There are over 20 different locations to do battle against the undead and there are plenty of weapons to waste them with. Blade gripped me from the start so i am going to have to recommend it to everyone

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good but not great, December 3, 2000

I have waited for the is video game to come out for months. I am a huge Blade fan from the comic books and movie. I am only into the 2nd level right now. The 2 area I am disappointed in, the lack of the 'look' function. And the limited saving factors. Plus the graphics and flow of the game is not the best. But is very, very good. In fact I am hoping there will be a sequel!

Ok, let me start by saying this is not a terrible game. However, for the price of around ... it was not worth my money.

The look of the animation is almost exactly like the Spiderman game put out earlier this year by Marvel. It's ok animation but nothing on par with FFIX cut scenes or anything like that. I was a little disappointed by Spiderman's animation too.

However, gameplay is what it's all about. Blade had a great soundtrack and a cool interface. the menus were really awesome and it got me psyched to play. But when you load the first mission it's all very average. The movements are ok but it's just really average. The 'coolness' of playing Blade can only take you so far. I found the screens had to see and it was a pain to find the items that got dropped. It was all very dark, which is fine if the graphics are well rendered but here it all kind of ran together. Blade's movements were pretty standard and nothing to write home about.

There are better games out there for that kind of money. FFIX and Spiderman are two you can't beat. And Evil Dead is out this week...

But hey, it was _way_ better than Batman Beyond!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nasty Bite, June 5, 2001

This game, while not as hot as the movie was, provides a bit of fun. The controls are sometimes difficult to manage, and the difficulty level is fairly high. Blessedly, this game doesn't contain much in the way of puzzles like the RE series. Its basically, run, gun, pick up items here and there, gun....you get the picture. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say that Blade is somewhere around 6.

2.0 out of 5 stars There is no life in Blade, June 16, 2001
This review is from: Blade (Video Game)
Blade isn't that old a game but it is amazing how uninteresting and uninnovative it is as a game. You expect nowadays that when a game is of the Lara Croft, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake genre that there would be at least a minimum of 1 new interesting feature in the game. E.g. in Spiderman you get to swing from building to building. Very cool. But in Blade you walk, you kill things. That's it. It never really gets more interesting. But you'd expect that at a minimum, Blade's character would have some kind of attitude! Nope- nadda! He's silent as a mouse until he dies. In fact even the zombies have more to say than he does.

Also at the beginning of the game all you get is a pistol. Pardon me for being ignorant but isn't he called BLADE!
