Product Description

Universal Belt Clip Introducing Blade-Tech's newly remodeled Tek-Lok; a secure, innovative and versatile latching attachment system. The engineers and product developers at Blade-Tech took the original Tek-Lok and reworked its functional ability to add more utility and ease of use. The Tek-Lok has also been contoured to better fit the profile of the body and to eliminate hot spots. The new Tek-Lok is held in place by two robust retaining tabs. A user friendly, integrated secondary locking system was also built into the newly redesigned Tek-Lok. With the simple motion of a thumb or finger, the redundant lock rotates out of the way to allow the user to pinch the retaining tabs and conveniently remove the Tek-Lok from the belt. It is readily adjustable to accommodate belts from 2.25" down to 1.25". Hardware included in this set are as follows; (3) posts, (3) screws and (3) 1/8" Spacers.

I bought this belt clip to us on my new Kabar BK2 Campanion Knife. I removed the nylon loop on the BK2s sheath by crimping the rivets. Then, using the existing mount on the sheath, I attached the Tek Lok in its place. The screw alignment matched perfectly. I can now carry my knife horizontal or vertical on my waist. I also like that I can adjust the Tek Lok to fit the width of the belt I am wearing. The mounting screws tighten and loosen with an allen wrench.

I bought this to replace the terrible sheath loop that came with my Ka-Bar BK2. The Tek-Lok is sturdy and allows you to bolt to all three mounting holes on the sheath. I noticed that mounting on the lowest row of the Tek-Lok causes the sheath tension lock to bump up against the Tek-Lok. This makes it a little harder to pull the knife out of the sheath. This is more due to the design of the tension lock on the sheath as it expands outward when you remove the knife.

I have not put the Tek-Lok to a lot of use yet. However, so far it seems really sturdy.

To put it on your Ka-Bar BK2 sheath.
1. Remove the loop holder from the sheath (4 screws).
2. Using a 13/64 the drill bit. Drill the flange portion off of the loop holder. Do not drill rivet heads. You only have to remove enough of the flange to hit the washer.
3. Using a 1/16th punch, tap out the rivets.

This will leave the three holes undamaged so you can attach the Tek-Lok.

Once you find a mounting position you like. Consider using a little of the "Threadlocker Blue 242" Loctite to secure the screws.

I bought a second Tek Lok for my EDC(Every Day Carry). I use the Tek Lok to side carry my ESEE 3. I have used it for over a month with no issues. I did notice if you want to vertical carry the ESEE 3 you need to use the rubber washers to have the Tek Lok clamp evenly on the ESEE 3 sheath. I weak side (left) horizontally carry the ESEE 3 using the Tek Lok without issue. I use the bottom row of the Tek Lok with two screws mounted on the blade side of the sheath. It is a comfortable fit and offers easy access to the knife. I wear a 1 1/2 inch belt. I found moving the "Belt spacers?" to the bottom of the Tek Lok allowed the ESEE 3 to ride more comfortably in a side carry fashion.

This size fits the Speedbeez two post holder. It took me a while to figure it out but once I got it set up, it works great. It is nice to be able to remove items from your belt without having to take your belt off.

Like many others, I purchased a Ka-Bar Becker BK2 and was underwhelmed by that worthless giant nylon loop affixed to an otherwise awesome sheath. I looked on utube a little, and saw that this product was a common mod. I bought it immediately. The hardest part was not knowing how to get the dang nylon loop off of the holster (you have to nip away at the rivets holding it in place. Don't try to pound or drill them out, as this will distort the holes on the holster). Once that was removed, installing the Tek-Lok was a snap! And it is very versatile. I am currently wearing it sideways ("ranger-style"?) and it is SOLID! I also like this newer version versus some of the other kinds I saw in the videos. If you have a BK2, you NEED this!

Not much to complain about here. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. All necessary screws were included and functioned as intended. The tolerances were top notch, the hinge was tight but opened smooth. The size adjusters were easy enough to adjust but wont fall out accidentally. Happy with the product!

I already have one of these on my Kydex sheath for my BK2 Kabar and it is perfect on any belt I own. I bought this one for my wife's BK2 (She saw my knife and had to have her own!). It is a very sturdy belt adapter and very well made. It is as tough as the BK2 knife. I love it.

Just received my order from Speed Beez (purchased through Amazon). I was frustrated by the fact that they did not included all the hardware to mount the tec loc to my knife sheath. I think this will be a nice product, once I go to the hardware store. I would not recommend buying from this vendor, use one of the others listed to get "all" of your purchased product.

Easy on and off great product that I can easily and sately take my holstered firearm off my belt. You don't have to take your sidearm out of the holster to put it on or off your belt.
