This review is from: Blade of Triumph (Audio CD)
"Blade of Triumph" is Danish power metal band Iron Fire's fourth album, released in 2007. The album continues in the style and vein of their third release, "Revenge."
This CD, though, is head and shoulders above "Revenge". It's about as solid a power metal album as you can expect to find. There's plenty of variety, no bad songs, plenty of hooks, and plenty of bombast. The lyrics aren't Shakespeare, but this is power metal. This is Iron Fire's best album by far, and one of the best power metal albums of the twenty-first century.

This album from Iron Fire is one of my favorite cd's that have been released in 2007. I rank this cd in the top ten power metal releases for 2007 along with artists like Kamelot and Primal Fear. Iron Fire's earlier releases are good, but the band has pulled out all the stops for Blade of Triumph. My favorite tracks are Dragonheart, Lord of the Labyrinth, Jackal's Eye and the title track Blade of Triumph, although I like every track on the cd. I definitely recommend this cd to any fan of power metal.
