i just got this scooter for my birthday and it rules! there have been no problems, no crashes, nothing bad, in short. If you have a child and wish to buy them a great present, get them this scooter.

I bought one of these scooters for my son. We had electronic problems with it within 2 days of riding it. The red power light kept flashing and it wouldn't turn to green which has to happen in order to operate. The company kept blowing us off saying "that never happens" they refused to do anything. My wife and I were very upset. I asked my wife to call and try to get somewhere with the nitwit in tech services. Although reluctant she actually convinced him to send us a new controller. It fixed the problem!! Now after less than 5 days of driving (less than 10 miles total) it is doing the exact same thing. When you turn it on the red light flashes which means the controller is bad. Controllers for this cost over $100. I will admit that when this scooter works it works great, except for the brakes. I suggest anyone wanting a good electric scooter to look elsewhere. This company does not stand behind their product. This product is also highly over-priced. Obviously they have a faulty controller. Wish me luck when I call them complaining for a second time. Actually wish my wife luck because I'll have her call since I got nowhere with these clowns the last time.

This scooter is just great, I am 16, and I use it to travel to work, and friends houses. I love it, it's tough fast and can handle anything. I have taken it through mud and all off road areas, I live in a small rural area, and just love, it is a smart buy.

First of all, I have the XTR S 450, which is the 2003 model of this scooter. It's the same thing except for the "swappable batteries." This electric scooter is a real quality product. First of all, the body is made of strong aluminum instead of that plastic junk on some other scooters. It also looks fantastic. This scooter may only go 16+ mph, but it is a heck of a lot of fun. It is a very fun, quick, and efficient way of travel. It's great for short trips and can save you money that would otherwise be spent on gas for unnecessary car trips. This scooter gives a very smooth ride and if I had to get another electric scooter, it would be from BladeZ! It just goes to show you what a great product can do.

I purchased two of these scooters for my boys and within a week of purchase my 14 year old son and his best friend were both in casts with fractured right arms requiring surgery. This scooter only has front brakes and both boys went over the handlebars after gently squeezing the brakes. One of the boys was going uphill and seated at the time.(He weighs about 130 lbs.) The company says that this is impossible. Two in one week. Doesn't sound coincidental to me. There were witnesses in both cases that confirmed the boys descriptions of the accidents. If you purchase one of these scooters anyway do not let anyone ride it without a properly fitting helmet. I can only imagine where we would be if it had been their heads and not their wrists. It is possible to be injured. Consider yourself warned and be careful.

I got this scooter for my birthday and in one week it slowed down soooo much its not even funny. I liked it on the first day but thats it.This stupid scooter SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
