5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most slept on in 1996, May 1, 2006
By
This review is from: Blah Blah Blah (Audio CD)

Blah Blah Blah is one of the most underrated and slept on albums ever to come out of NY, period. DJ PF Cuttin & MC Out loud became known for their single "Danger" which immediately blew heads away back in 1995/1996. It became so well known in hiphop circles back then, DJ Premier decided to do a remix of the track. BUT, as soon as the album dropped nobody paid it any attention, which seemed absurd. This made me curious, leading me to presume that maybe the album was inconsistent and 'Danger' must have been the only tight track on the album. So I gave it a listen... Man, was I in for a shock. From track 1-13 there is not one weak track on the album! You will find some of the best mid 90's beats on here with the typical dark/heavy bassed and even original samples on this album! And of course, MC Out loud comes 100% correct in an attempt to ensure his debut didn't flop. Tracks like the amazing title track "Blah Blah Blah", provide heads with an elegant piano loop leaving you junkies fiending for more. Leading on to such tracks as "Danger pt 2", which is equally as brilliant as the orginal, and "Pain I feel" you will find the album posesses a satisfying consistency that ensures that you are not reaching for the skip button. Unfortunately Blahzay Blahzay will always be known as "one hit wonders" because of sheer ignorance from hiphop fans which seems to be a fear for one too many artists nowadays. So, make up for it and give this album a peep, and realise that Blahzay Blazay are not the inconsistent "one hit wonders" they have became to be known as. PEACE

5.0 out of 5 stars HIP-HOP at its best... not like today's crap, April 10, 2003
This review is from: Blah Blah Blah (Audio CD)
These guys are what real HIP-HOP is all about, good lyrics, extremely good agressive bass, good amount of scratching... the DEAL. These guys have a true love for HIP-HOP and not money.

5.0 out of 5 stars What hip-hop really should be, January 4, 2003
This review is from: Blah Blah Blah (Audio CD)
I love this style. I spin hip-hop and this is the stuff you wanna play, big, nice beats, smooth rhymin', and a real individual sound. I've liked Blahzay for a while, I heard them guesting on tracks by Triptik & Massive Töne in Europe, but I couldn't find the album for ages. I heard it first a few months ago and loved it and I finally got it on vinyl today!! and I couldn't be happier.
