Worth every penny. the ONLY thing to keep in mind about these is the waist is tighter than it seems go up a size in the waist.

11-11-13 I have now had these pants for 2 years and I can whole heartedly tell you these are the best pants I have ever owned. They are still almost brand new looking (there are a few wear marks) even though I wear them 2 times a week or so and I'm not easy on my pants I work as a mason and go through carhartts with the double fronts in 3 to 4 months. I once caught my pant leg on a sharp piece of metal the pants were so Strong they pulled me to the ground and I found my self hanging from my leg, dangling a few feet in the air but they didn't rip at all. there's still two little holes but if I were wearing any other pants I would have been naked. These are great! Spend the little extra and you won't regret it. At least I don't. That being Said, there are a few problems: the knee pads are a little low-not a big deal. And if you're in the tropics working they are a bit heavy and hot.

Pants are extremely well made and run true to size(not overly long in the leg). Belt loops really hold the pants up during the endless bending and twisting on a job site. Pants are heavy, not the best for hot humid conditions, but will be just right for the fall in the northeast. Very pleased with Amazon's price point on these pants.

I have had a pair of the Heavy Worker pants for several years, and bought a new pair because mine are starting to look ratty. They haven't worn out, and will probably be around for a long time to come. I have loved them, and will continue to wear them when I don't have to look presentable for clients.

The new ones, however, have a radically different cut. The waist/rise is at least and inch higher, and the legs are longer with the kneepads lower for the same listed size. They also feel wider and generally less tailored. I believe they have changed the cut to accommodate 'muhrican's physiques, which, shall we say, are usually somewhat less athletic than the Swedes. For those of us without any extra insulation, however, these new ones just won't work. I had the same luck with the Bantam model, unfortunately.

Too bad--now I'll be searching for another work pant brand that hasn't lost its European cut.

I like to wait awhile before I review items to see if they live up to my expectations. I bought a pair of these pants about a year ago and they do...so much so that I bought another pair about a month ago.

My work is outside and requires a lot of kneeling on concrete, asphalt, or rocky ground while repairing equipment. These are the best pants I have ever owned in more than 25 years of this work.

Some things I like about these pants:
1. A year later and the original pair I bought shows hardly any wear.
2. The extra wide/long belt loops don't tear off like thin ones do.
3. The knee pads are removeable so I can use one pair for both pairs of pants.
4. The knee pad pockets are built-in, so I don't have to mess with straps that are either so loose that they slip down or are so tight thay they chafe the back of my knee and/or cut off the circulation to my leg.
5. Each knee pad pocket has a pocket inside on the bottom so the knee pad will not fall out.
6. I can put items in the utility pockets and wear the pockets outside my seatbelt when I'm driving so I can easily reach in to get something.
7. The fabric is strong and durable (see #1), yet they are breathable enough to not get overheated in hot summer weather.
8. There are more than enough pockets for everything I usually carry.

Some things I don't like about these pants:
A year later and I still really can't think of anything. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but they are worth every penny. They last long enough to more than make up for the extra expense. I will be getting more in the future so I can throw away my "swiss cheese" pants.

I have had many people see these pants and ask me where I got them. I tell them to go to Amazon.

I have been buying this brand for a bit over a year. Although pricey, they are hands down the best I have worn in my 25 years in business. You cannot go wrong with any of their clothes. The only caveat is they do tend to run a bit small. Otherwise BUY IT!

Pants are extremely well made. It's nice to not have to wear a tool belt when wearing these pants. The pockets are sturdy and well thought out. The knee pad holders are a great idea -- no more annoying, uncomfortable straps to have to deal with. Don't really even notice when kneepads are in. Only complaint -- the kneepads tend to slip out. I think I will try to get a zipper or snaps sewn in and then they will be perfect.
