These Guys are great!,

This review is from: Blame It on the Dog (Audio CD)
If you ever get a chance to hear these guys, go for it, they are one of the best new groups to come out in a long time, their first album Cows on mainstreet is great, then came blame it on the dog, and their newest release the late late late show far surpasses their first two cds! if you dont add this group to your cd library, you are missing a fabulous music experience!

Where are these guys? Great musical talent, some say this album is kind of pop. I say, if you like Elvis Costello, Dwight Yoakum, etc. you'll like these guys and I think they are pretty good songWRITERS too.

How can Nashville pass them up?!?!?!,
By A Customer

I have owned this album since it came out. It is one of the best albums I have ever heard, and why Nashville is shutting these talented men out, is beyond me! Maybe they came at the wrong time, I don't know. I DO know they can play, write and sing. If Nashville is lucky enough, The Thompson Brothers Band will come back and try again. As for the album itself, what else can I say, but WOW! If they ain't country, who is?

You don't need anymore proof that something is BAD wrong with country music today when you have the likes of Rascal Flatts getting all kinds of attention and the Thompson Brothers practically none. These guys are talented and make great, fun music.
"Back On The Farm Again" certainly is deserving of all the love, but next in line my absolute favorite is the EXCELLENT "Broken for Good". The guitar playing reminds me of Glen Campbell's guitar playing for some reason. But there is not really a bad track on this CD. You can play it all the way through without reaching for the skip button and that's more than you can say about most artists. GET IT!!!

These guys never got the recognition they deserved. Sure, they are a little quirky, but they are good musicians. I really enjoy this CD... would love to see them come out with another album.

This is my favorite CD and my niece has ruined it by accidently spilling her nail polish remover on it.
I have gone to every Music store to try and locate it in the city of Dallas and all the metroplex areas and suburbs and I am very disappointed to learn that they do not have this CD and HAS BEEN discontinued in every store I have searched. I would like to locate someone; ANYONE who has it and would like to sell it to me. I have kept the cover and case of the cd, as it has been personally autographed by all of the band back in 1989. Please help me locate this, anyone! Please email me and let me know how I can get my hands on this CD again. You don't just hear these songs on the radio anymore. Thanks, Javier

I've had it since Fan Fair 1999 and I've always enjoyed listening. Their lyrics are awesome, their tunes are equal to Dwight Y. and the like. I highly recommend this cd!

Well, first there was a catchy video with a pretty "interesting" song..."Back on the Farm". I bought "Blame it on the Dog" on the strength of that song and just fell in love with strong vocals, early rock-n-roll feel infused with real country musicianship and the fun that Andy, Matt and Mike bring to their playing. I'd recommend this CD to anyone who likes to listen to honesty in the music they enjoy as well as for anyone who likes to have fun and enjoy the music. I'm anxiously awaiting the next CD from this amazingly talented trio. I've now ordered their "Cows on Main Street" CD and after hearing the audio clips for it, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
