Book Description

Teacher Catlin McCall has second thoughts about dating the father of a student, but listening to his sweet talk one night under the stars, she finds him hard to resist. They stumble into an impetuous, passionate relationship which leaves them breathless and his family less than thrilled. A not-quite-ex-wife who decides she wants her man back, combined with a pair of manipulative teenagers, make for more problems than either of them are prepared to deal with.

Steve Naughton has no idea when he invites Catlin’s brother to join them for dinner that his fiancée has family issues of her own. Like the old adage, no good deed goes unpunished, and Steve’s surprise backfires when the truth comes to light.

“You feel like your life got thrown up in the air, and it’s landing as a different sort of life? Yeah, me too.” Blame it on the stars.

“Ms. Hill is one of my favorite authors and I'm reminded of that each time I read one of her books. She has a talent for taking the reader on a journey with unforgettable characters while developing a plot line that is highly entertaining." ~ Val, You Gotta Read Reviews

From the Author

Thanks for checking out my work. If you like romantic suspense please consider my latest series, Witness Security. Pieces of the Past is available now. Book two, Time to Kill, will be available in the fall of 2014. These titles stand alone but can be read as part of a series. As are the books in my A Cop in the Family series: Family Secrets, Family Ties and Family Honor. I also have a short novella available in Kindle format only called On the Edge.

If you like straight romance, may I suggest my series, The Blame Game. The books in order are: Blame it on the Stars, Blame it on the Moon, Blame it on the Sun, and  Blame it on the Rain. Also look for romance titles Secrets and Lies, and Playing For Keeps.

My collection of romantic short stories is pulled together into one book called Impulsive, and each story is available separately as an Amazon short.

I hope you enjoy!

About the Author

Jamie Hill was born and raised in a beautiful, mid-sized town in Midwest, USA. At various times she wanted to be a veterinarian, teacher, cheerleader, TV star or a famous singer. The one thing she always wanted to be was a writer. Starting at about age ten, she penned romance as she envisioned it in one spiral notebook after another. When she's not working at the day job she loves, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching movies (the scarier the better!) In her 'spare time' she can often be found writing, editing, or doing something more mundane like housework. After that, she's probably taking a nap. She loves to hear from readers, so feel free to drop her a line.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT!!! AWWWESOOOME!!! March 7, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Now this is what we call keeping it , one hundred! It is so good to read a book where the woman don't bow down at every turn. This book was written just the way it would happen in the real world. Caitlin is No Joke! She cried her share of tears and told her share of lies to get by and no matter how much it hurt, she still put you in check.Snotty kids, exes, brother, it didn't matter she told it, like it was. She got in Steve's face so many times, he didn't know what to do with her. But in the end everything came together beautifully. Very, very good book!

This book has all the elements of a fabulous read. I look for believable characters, emotions, conflict, edgy, and heartbreak as well as love. Blame It On The Stars has all this and more. I can't wait for the next book in this trilogy. Bravo Jamie Hill.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good One October 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed this one! The dialogue was just like being in the story - It was REAL, entertaining with a good chuckle here and there. I thought it was going to be the usual cliche story line but it wasn't.
There were ups and downs and "carry-ons" too but all struck a chord within me. I will probably reread this one.
I would recommend it to anyone who asks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blame It on the Stars intriguing September 27, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Loved it! Jamie' Hill's book kept me totally enthralled. I haven't read a book so fascinating I couldn't put it down in a while. Lots of good reads available especially from BWL but her pacing and skillful presentation wouldn't set me free. Every time I thought I needed to do something else, she added a new twist that wouldn't let me.

I read the teaser for Blame It On the Moon and am thrilled I can follow up with these characters I grew to know. Blame it on the Stars is an excellent read. I highly recommend it. Five Stars in my book!
