Still Great and Going Strong!,
By Atriedes247 (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Blame! Vol. 9 (Paperback)
Here it is, at last, the ninth volume of the series, and the story is still going strong. Fantastic, and moody, the art complements Killy's journey through the Megastructure as he continues his odd quest for Net Terminal Genes. He encounters various types of Silicon Creatures, odd technology, and incredible settings. And still the mystery continues: what is the Megastructure, and how does Killy fit in?
This volume is worth it just for the views of the Megastructure. The artwork is enough to purchase the volume alone. In some ways it reminds me of the prints of Piranesi--lots of angles, staircases, strange technological devices that don't make much sense at first, sweeping vistas of vast technological spaces, and don't forget all the different sentient machines. This Manga lives up to its billing: definitly 'Cerebral to the Core'!! |
