Brilliant punk/folk hybrid - Pure perfection!, May 14, 1999

It's unusual for an album combining such diverse styles to ring true as an honest and cohesive reflection of the artist who created it. However, BLANG! beats the odds - presenting Lach to the world in all his multi-levelled glory: Sad/comic/bold/humble/agressive/shy...the songs combine and play against these opposing turns just as the musical styles range from rockabilly and folk to moments of hardcore abandon. Lach's brilliance is further evidenced by his hooking up with Richard Barone as producer. Mark my words: a best bet for everyone's top ten list for this last year of the millenium.
