5.0 out of 5 stars Like The Real 1911
Just bought a Kimar 911-black and it looks, feels and works like a real Colt.45 Automatic. Each detail, from the magazine, the chamber, safety, trigger, hammer, size and weight feels like you have a real.45 automatic in your hand. For that reason it should be displayed and used with care,as if it were a real Colt.45. I have it inside a 1916 leather holster(just like the WWII...

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor safety
Product looks and feels good. Safety lever does not engage as it should, You should never carry a live blank chambered in this gun while it is in the holster. Only when shooting rack the blank into the chamber.
For the money is adequate.

I have it inside a 1916 leather holster(just like the WWII movies)and have also purchased a matching magazine leather case which holds two clips. I believe for the price $89.99-$102.00 (through Internet I got mine for $92.00)it is a bargain considering you are getting a true replica. Highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars really nice gun, March 25, 2010
This review is from: Blank Firing Replica Guns- Model 911 Auto 8MM Blue Starter Pistol (Misc.)
I have this gun it is a really nice gun, looks and feels authentic only reason i don't give it five stars is the finish lacks a little luster other than that it's a great gun for any one who wants a really nice replica of a 45 1911. I must admit i handle it every day pull the slide cock it and fire it. The blanks are very loud and the blow back feels real i love this gun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Blank Stage Gun, November 17, 2007

This review is from: Blank Firing Replica Guns- Model 911 Auto 8MM Blue Starter Pistol (Misc.)
The Model 911 Auto 8MM Stage blank firing pistol is very authentic in its appearance and it feels like the real thing. It balances nicely and has the weight of the real gun.

The only problem I had with it is a dud cartridge. The dud wasn't the fault of the gun but I discovered that the gun uses the force of the blank cartridge when it fires to eject from the firing chamber and then loads the next cartridge from the clip. If a dud is encountered you must manually remove the cartridge thus ruining the effect of the scene if you're using the pistol for stage acting. This is the same functionality of a real pistol but with real pistols I've used it's easier to clear the dud cartridge from the firing chamber. Too avoid this problem, get high quality blanks.

Other than that I really like the pistol and it gives the effect of using a real gun in a play very well.

I really liked the gun alot, the only problem with it i had was jamming, and when i tried to replace the hand grip with original ww2 grips the safety exploded out of the gun.other than that its a great gun, i would get this gun if i were you.
