This review is from: Blank Gaze (Hardcover)
Jose Luis Peixoto is a Portuguese poet, author, and playwright, whose work is much admired in Europe. Nenhum Olhar is his second novel, a prize winner first published in Lisbon in 2000. The book listed above, Blank Gaze, is an English translation by Richard Zenith, published by Bloomsbury in London in 2007. The same translation has now come out in the United States in a handsome paperback edition under the title The Implacable Order of Things, published by Nan A. Talese, New York, July 2008.
