I bought this for my 10 year old son who had surgery this week. He LOVED snuggling up on the couch with it during his recovery. Granted, it could have been a little thicker/heavier, but the idea is great and he was happy. Thus the reason for the rating of a 4 vs a 5. It is not as warm as some of our throws, but a happy kid is worth 4 stars! It has already made it through the wash once and survived without pilling.
