I was browsing on amazon to look for a book in Scottish Gaelic and saw this title. I thought this were kind of a literature book with reading texts in Gaelic. Why? Because it says on the product details: 256 pages. Well, it is truly misleading because what I really get is just a tape with a merely 20 page transcription book of the Gaelic phrases recorded, and I have paid over 30 dollars (with shipping) for it. I don't think it is worth its price that much since for a phrase book with tape costs on an average 10 to 20 dollars (Berlitz, Teach Yourself Series, Conversaphone, etc) and they have much more pages in it than 20! Even if I just judge the book's merits by its content, it is still not worth more than a 3 because the phrases provided are essential "hello, how are you, what time is it, good bye, are you cold, are you late..." type of stuff, very superficial. That's why I gave it a three for being just an average book of language learning. I just wouldn't give it a four or five for its depth and exceptional value.
