4.0 out of 5 stars Great Game! Worth the money!
This game is a lot of fun. Starting with the graphics, they aren't mindblowing, but this is Playstation. The sound is pretty bad, as the announcer Scott Farell has about 5 or 6 annoying phrases that he says over and over again. However, the gameplay is a blast. The closest thing that I could compare it to is NHL Rock The Rink, which I still play today. It is challenging...

It is challenging and is pretty deep as well. The Sudden Death modes are great as well and add some extra replay value to the game. The Bottom Line is that it is fun to play and it plays like lacrosse. For people who say that the game is too fast, well, its an arcade game, so it is supposed to be fast. Besides, Lacrosse isn't a slow sport like baseball. The price tag is excellent at 29.99. I dare someone to find more than a handful of new PLaystation games for only 30 bucks. Go out and buy it, you won't be disappointed!

4.0 out of 5 stars Blast at Last, May 30, 2001

A long wait is about to get a little longer. Although Blast is a Lacrosse based game, it falls short on giving those who know the game the game we have been waiting for. The game is fun to play, it is pretty cool to see a Lacrosse goal and control the great players of the MLL. Game play is pretty fast making the flow of the game difficult. You don't get to hold the ball very long before your head is ripped off. You can do some quick stick and other real life plays. I would suggest buying this game, don't get me wrong.

Hopefully this is a prelude to an improved field version, on the PS2 please.

lacrosse is an intense, awesome, fun game. this video game, however, falls desperately short of what all of us lax fans have been waiting for. but blast lacrosse isnt good at all. rent this game, and hate it as much as i do. buuy this game, and itll quickly gather dust.

2.0 out of 5 stars If you're a lacrosse player, fan, or coach, don't buy this!, June 3, 2001
This review is from: Blast Lacrosse (Video Game)
The only reason to buy this game is to support the notion of a lacrosse video game. Maybe if enough are sold, then a better, more realistic version will be made. It's obvious that the second review here, from Hong Kong, is really by the designer and is an advertisement. This game bites. It's nothing more than a retooled hockey engine. The graphics are poor, movement stale, and the play too fast. There's not much ball control, the hitting over exaggerated, and the movement is really choppy. Anyone playing any of the other top sports games, or used to PS2 will be disappointed. The novelty of it being a lacrosse game quicky wears thin. The only redeeming quality is the over the top commentary, but even that grows tiresome after a while. So don't buy this. Wait for something better or something that is more respectful of lacrosse. This is nothing more than a hockey game, and not even a good one, trying to pass itself off as lacrosse. Save your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Indoor Lacrosse! NLL License! W-I-N-G-S WINGS on PS!!!!, April 22, 2001

This is the greatest thing to happen in a long time for die hard lacrosse fans like myself. Not only is it box lacrosse, the better form of lacrosse, the "real man's lacrosse" instead of dull "soccer lacrosse", but it has a National Lacrosse League license! Thats means that now the Wings of Philly will be able to dominate the NLL in video game form too! Bergey! Finneran! Eliuk! "Hollywood" Marechek! Millon! Jacobs! Wait, no, not Jacobs, but still, this is a tremendous pick up for fast action, hardcore body checks, and sweet offensive plays. A must have for any lacrosse fan.

3.0 out of 5 stars its ok, August 21, 2003
This review is from: Blast Lacrosse (Video Game)
this game is like a 1990 arcade game pretty much. its fun too play with friends and to laugh at, but it [is really bad]. The reason i give it 3 stars is cause its the first lax game, and everyone knew it was gonna [be bad]. so get it for the winter when you cant actually play lax, and just have some fun with it.

I have been a season ticket holder for the Philadelphia Wings and I have always wondered when a video game would be made for Lacrosse. Not only am I excited that it is finally here, but to be endorsed by the NLL and have the actual players is awesome!!! Oh, and to the Bandits fan..... This is the ONLY way you can "make" the Bandits beat the Wings. Oh, I mean the 2001 NLL Champion Wings!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Blast Lacrosse, May 7, 2001

Well, all these reviews are just refecting what we hope the game to be since its not even out yet, but most of us have been waiting so long, we will play anything that say lacrosse on it!! I dont think it will be long before an outdoor version of a LAX game comes out but I play indoor and outdoor and I am a fan of both. We should just be happy they finally got a clue and made a lacrosse video game !! And I get to make the Bandits stomp all over the ... excuse for a lacrosse team that plays in Philly!! #16 to #41.. Goal!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced lacrosse fun, May 26, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Blast Lacrosse (Video Game)
I have played lacrosse for 5 years and have desperately been wanting a lacroose game. when I finally found this my prayes were answered. This game is undoubtedly fun even though hit is not pretty or a sim. I like the blitz or hitz feel of the game and enjoy leveling an attack who dares to enter my crease. If you like lacrosse and fast paced crazy action you will love this game as I do.

3.0 out of 5 stars Time to Update, April 28, 2002
This review is from: Blast Lacrosse (Video Game)
Yo this game could be off the chain with all the new gamin technology out. Put some cats on the Blast 2 project for PS2 and you'd have a top-selling game. Lax is growing in the US and the people with Playstation should take advantage of it. Also, they should put more research into the game cause they left out some really important parts of the game, like dodging. This game could have a lot of potential.
