When I discovered The Blasters at Club 88 in Los Angeles, I felt I had rediscovered rock and roll. Life had lost all meaning when Creedence split up and The Blasters brought meaning back to rock and roll. This is a great collection of tunes, but kind of odd considering that they already have a couple of collections of live tunes. The music is more bare bones with just the four original (Dave and Phil Alvin, Bill Bateman and John Bazz)members playing. The production is a bit muddy and heavy on the bass for my tastes, but nonetheless, it captures the Blasters live music very well. Now, if Phil, Bill Bateman and John Bazz would hurry up and get some new music out there, live would be good indeed!

This simple recording of a Blasters concert in 1986 brings back great memories. A simply produced disc retains the sounds and energy of their club shows. A must listen.
