I have had this installed in my car three months. It was an easy installation simply because I've had the blaupunkt Casablanca and Colorado before. The jacks are just a simple plug in.
PROS: DVD works great, music sounds clean. Menu easy to operate. Didn't even have to use the parametric equalizer, comes with preset sound fields that would satisfy most. Shows text and time information on the video screen while playing cd's. Double line display on the face showing more cd information. CONS: With my older blaupunkt players you can have different EQ and audio settings for each source selection. You do not have different presets for radio, cd player, aux input etc. Once an audio selection is made it influences all source modes. The force necessary to activate the control knobs is too much. I have to press too hard to skip tracks and scan for channels. Remote missing some basic functions for cd playing. Good grounding is needed otherwise engine noise will be evident |
