This book is perfect for the very young horse lover it is easy to read and has wonderful pictures. It is a story of one boy and his pony who helps another boy with his pony. My 4 year old grand-daughter loves it. All of C. W. Anderson books are a pleasure to read for both the young and old horse lovers. I have enjoyed them since I was a child. The pictures are almost as good as a photo. I recommend this book to all horse lovers.

In my opinion, the entire Billy and Blaze collection is nice for the whole family to enjoy. Children ages nine and under might enjoy these stories the most. Perhaps, children age 10 and up may find the reading and stories too simple. However, I enjoyed reading the stories with my children (ages 2 - 7), and they thoroughly enjoyed the stories as well.

We have two boys..very active and interested in horses. They have ponies too, so this fits perfectly. I read the Blaze series when I was a child and into horses and then read them to my oldest daughter who is still very much into her horse! Good series, highly recommend to any child interested in horses!
