I did not expect this game to be so well put together. The visuals on a decent system are amazing for the price. The support of a joystick with throttle makes it a definite 5 star. The fact that you have so many upgrades and are able to re-fly previous missions with unlocked aircraft that are compatible with the objective add replay ability. The missions are long enough to keep one engaged and the difficulty is not so impossible that you need to hunt down a cheat. Each mission no matter how difficult has a tactical simple solution. For example "Rendezvous" seems as if you cannot protect the vehicle no matter how hard you try. BUT..... If you destroy all the guard towers and gun emplacements before destroying the last of the 10 patrol aircraft, you will finish it quite easily because she will meet with no opposition except the fighters which attack two at a time and are easily taken out. I will not spoil the rest of the mission. Either way I paid very little for it and feel inclined to send the guy more money because it is truly worth every penny. This is more fun than most of the games in this price range. It is not perfect as anyone can find a glitch here or there like a floating pebble you think is a distant plane till you fly by a rock or the clipping near some structures with narrow passes. It earns a 4.5 but since that doesn't warrant going down I will give it 5 stars. Reminds me of the Crimson Skies days with much better graphics and smooth game play.

Excited for a decent flight/dog-fighter/combat sim that was more of the fun parts than of the sim parts of most; we purchased 3 copies. Much to our disappointment, the game will not run on any of our systems which by far exceed the requirements. We installed from the DVD's, updated from Ubisoft, checked on the FAQ's, read related forums and discussion boards. With 3 different machines, and 3 different OS's, we figured there might at least be one winner, but unfortunately not in this case... In fact beyond the installer, nothing else worked... Upon clicking the game executable a crash/error message that seems to be universal for 7/vista/xp pops up and that is the extent of it's functionality. Much more disappointing was that these problems are not discussed on ubisoft's support page, and when my question was posted it was removed overnight.
From what I gather it is roulette, some fixes found work for some, I have tried all I could find to no avail, the problems I encountered and the difficulty of it's potential solutions make it impossible for me to suggest that anyone should suffer the same loss and headaches it may cause.

Very disappointed in this game. Artificial intelligent (AI) of planes is abysmal, view system is lousy. Graphics for the story line uses comic book looking pictures instead of animations like the old Crimson Skies did, which was a lot more fun and interesting. Not much to say about this, I played it a few days and resold it on Amazon.

Bad game, bored, my son just try once, never go back to play it again. Even it's cheap, but still a kind of waste.

This is a good sequel to the original but at 7GB to load it takes forever to start and does not allow you to change controllers very easy. I tried to use a Wingman throttle joystick and it will not recognize it. I am using the mouse/keyboard combo and it is a bit shaky.

The game looks good but will not play on my computer. Apparently, my video card a G-force 5200 is not good enough. So I can't really rate the game.
