Don Bendell is an author of 26 novels and books with over 2,500,000 copies of his books in print worldwide and a successful motion picture. He is a former US Army Special Forces (Green Beret) captain and decorated and disabled Vietnam veteran and the father of two Special Forces NCOs who are Iraq/Afghan War vets and still serving our nation. He also owns and is Grandmaster of Bendell Karate in Pueblo West and Canon City, and in 1995 was inducted into the International Karate Hall of Fame. His master instructor wife Shirley is also a 2009 inductee, making them the first and only couple in history to both be in the Hall of Fame. Don has a Master of Science degree in Leadership from the Ken Blanchard College Business at Grand Canyon University and a BS in Business from Colorado Christian University. Don has 6 grown children and 9 grandchildren and describes himself simply as "a real cowboy with a real ranch, a real horse, and real cows." He and his wife own the beautiful 200 acre Strongheart Ranch south of Florence, Colorado.

I own and have read all of the books in this series & have enjoyed every one. If someone likes western novels, then reading these are a must!

I have read eight other books by Don Bendell and like them all. Then came "The Matched Colts." It is so unbeliveabe. After having been shot 17 times and with two broken legs, our hero, Chris Colt, craws 2 to 3 miles a day to out run a bear. He then climbs a tree and kills the bear with a spear. Come on!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Blazing Colts was an awesome book. It had tons of action in it. I thought it was cool how everyone was afraid of the main character Chris Colt too. Blazing Colts was definitally the best western book I've ever read that's for sure. An excellent book, everyone should go pick up a copy!!!
