4.0 out of 5 stars Just Plain Fun
This is not a complicated or time consuming game, but it is a great way to relax. The arcade sequences are slightly tricky but highly entertaining. The best part of the game is the interaction with the main character, Flicker. His wit truely rings with reminences of Monty Python. This was only an ok game. The graphics are childish and if you don't know what you're doing - you won't go very far. Got tired of the game and haven't played with it for weeks...

The best part of the game is the interaction with the main character, Flicker. His wit truely rings with reminences of Monty Python. While the playing part of the game is obviously aimed at a younger audience, the dialogues and character interactions can be appreciated by adults. The one drawback may be that the game can only be played once. Once you've beaten it, the only reason to replay it is for the dialogue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining Game, December 5, 2003

This review is from: Blazing Dragons for Sega Saturn (Video Game)
The game is quite fun, really. The graphics are neat, in that they are 'cartoony' ...and I think that looks really cool and goes with the overall plot and feel of the game. I think its a neat concept and its very unique as far as the plot and character development/dialogue are concerned. I just cant think of another game that was like this and that means something to me. Also to note, the game came out in 1995 for playstation [i think] and Saturn [I know for sure; its the game system i play it on] and considering how old that is in game years and how old that hardware system is, its a great title.
The main character is Flicker, who has to solve all types of puzzles to eventually meet his ultimate goal, winning the hand of a girl he loves.
The dialogue can be totally appreciated by adults and is quite funny, witty and humorous. There are funny voice overs and even contributions by Terry Jones and Cheech Marin.
The only knock i can think of, is that once you beat the game thats it...and replaying it would require a bit of time away from it to enjoy....unless you just go through to hear the dialogue again.
If Crystal Dynamics was still around I would definitely keep an eye on their titles, but Eidos bought them out in 1998. I really haven't seen such a game since.
