This review is from: Bleach: Memories of Nobody (Audio CD)
First off, let me say that I am a big fan of the show Bleach, and I've fallen in love with the music from day 1. Despite this, I really had no idea what to expect when I bought this CD, and this was all before seeing the movie. I bought it off blind faith that it would be as good as the show's musical score. Thankfully, it did not disapoint. Something else I was affraid of when I bought this CD was that it would either be full of the same tracks from the show, or they would sound very similar to the show's music. Memories of Nobody is all origional material, minus one or two songs, which are remixed (Both "Number One" songs). I was also pleasently suprised to hear the same violen arrangement that appears in the 3rd season episodes on a few tracks (if you are an English Bleach fan, you wont know what I'm talking about). The CD has a nice balance of action themes and real mellow, soft background music, which I am more particular to. Anyone with an appriciation for good music will probably like this. They even threw in some opera (Always Be With Me In Mind, and Into The Fire). All in all, this was definatly worth the buy, although I wouldn't, and didnt buy it for like, $50. As with all anime and video games soundtracks, I say look around for good prices, and be patient. The wait is usually worth it.

While I try to avoid criticizing other reviews, the recommendation to buy DB or another anime due to the "lack of action" in this movie is rediculously off the mark.
Any true anime fan will acknowledge that sometimes you need a decompression from slash-em-up chop-em-up action sequences. Any serious Bleach fan will definately appreciate how this film provides a distict look on some of the main characters (especially Ichigo and SS) as a non-storyline movie. All in all this movie has about 25% action sequence. The rest is a story development that is never addressed in any current or past Bleach anime arc. Additionally it introduces a new (and temporary) character to the Bleach universe that unfolds a new "love story" with Ichigo. In fact, this is one of the most emotionally compelling events in the entire Bleach franchise. All in all, if you only want action, you can pretty much fast forward to the end of the movie, but if you're serious about anime, you'll watch this movie again and again. I would rate this amongst the best anime movie "singles" I've seen, and I wouldn't have been disappointed if they had spread it out as a movie-based arc, but it is still good as it is now. That said, this isn't the actual movie, it is the soundtrack, and it contains all the songs that you'll hear in the movie. Wonderfully arranged and performed, you'll remember each scene as it occurs in the movie. The two bonus instrumental tracks, "Always Be With Me In Mind" and "Into the Fire" are a great compliment to their regular counterparts which are tracks 4 and 23 respectfully. If you like Bleach, get the movie. If you love Anime, get this soundtrack.
