Book Description

The Greek gods are alive and well. But, unfortunately for the gods, the humans have all but forgotten their glorious existence…and this fact really pisses off the all-powerful, immortal beings.

Apollo, the Greek god of the sun, takes one look at the mysterious Terese Lafitte and knows that he wants her. Even in this modern century, a god takes what he wants. But Terese isn’t a mortal, not any longer. As a newly turned vampire, her attraction to Apollo is downright lethal because desire arouses not just her body, but also her bloodlust.

But Apollo likes a woman with bite, and now that he’s found Terese, he’s not about to let the little vampiress out of his sight or out of his bed. When Terese’s psychotic vampire ex begins to stalk them, Apollo knows that he will have to use all of his strength to keep her safe. Lucky for Terese, Apollo has more power than she could ever have imagined.

When you trifle with the sun god, you will get burned.

3.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful new series August 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
BLEED FOR ME (Loved By Gods #1) by Cynthia Eden

BLEED FOR ME is the first novella in Cynthia Eden's new LOVED BY GODS series. With the combination of both vampire and Greek Gods, Cynthia has blended two of the paranormal storylines most popular creatures.

Terese Lafitte needed blood. It had been one month since she was brutally turned and she had yet to feed, so entering HADES, a popular night club would hopefully find her a willing host. Dressed for a night on the town, Terese knew she had found a source when a gorgeous and sexy man approached her with only one thing on his mind.

Apollo is the Greek god of the sun. The son of Zeus and his lover, Apollo and his sister Artemis were born on the isle of Delos. But Apollo preferred to hang out in his brother's bar then return to Mt. Olympus. Only today, he was fascinated when a beautiful young woman refused his advances. And it would take a little prodding before Terese would give in to her need.

Apollo is shocked when he realizes that the woman in his bed isn't entirely human. But the same can be said for Terese, when she is bested in power and strength by the man from whom she just fed. But when Terese returns to her home she finds that her sire, an elder vampire, refuses to let her go. And it will take a man with the powers of a god, to find and locate the vampire with whom he has fallen in love.

BLEED FOR ME is a story of romance with a happily ever after. You cannot help with whom or what you have fallen in love, and the same holds true for the powerful gods of Olympus. There is a little humor when Ares returns and finds Apollo in the back alley with Terese, and like all brothers, he tends to push the proverbial buttons.

4.0 out of 5 stars I recommend this short for a light quick read September 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog

I love Ms. Eden's Angel series, and when I saw a friend reading this on Goodreads, I could not resist.

Ms. Eden did a great job with this Greek-God-finally-meet-his-mate story. Terese Lafitte, a newly turned vamp was in need to feed and wouldn't you know it, she meets the Sun God, Apollo. And in most books I've read including this one, Apollo is portrayed bored and in search of a woman who will leave him enthralled. Terese did just that and brought him to his knees. But Ms. Eden did not make it easy on Apollo; she gives him an obsessive, powerful vampire as a hurdle and makes Apollo work hard to get his Happy-Ever-After (HEA).

It's a cute short story. The characters and world building are good. You get a good gist of what is going on and you get a good amount of history of Apollo and his fam bam. We get to see a bit of Ares, Artemis and Poseidon, which is a great opening if Ms. Eden decides to write about them. My only complaint, and I always feel this way with short stories, is that there wasn't enough time for the romance. It felt like it was a wham bam thank you ma'am and then you get the HEA. I would love to see more of this world and definitely would like to see more pages in these books.

Ms. Eden is great writer and I recommend this short for a light quick read as well as her The Fallen series which is one of may faves.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Story, Wish It Was Longer 4 Stars August 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This WAS a good story, it did however follow a few easy plot starters like the "MINE" effect and the damsel in distress but by books end you are happy with it, wish it would go longer and find you have enjoyed this quick romp. Terese is a new vampire and on the run from the evil vampire that "turned" her, Apollo is exactly that, Apollo God of the Sun (not a match made in heaven for a vampire who become crispy critters in the sun). The story is fast, action is plentiful (as is the passion) and the ending is good. While the author was at it, she sets up at least 2 more books for the Ares God of War and Poseidon God of the Sea (or whatever). Great reading for a doctors office visit or anything where you might need to entertain yourself for a couple of hours or so, 4 stars and waiting for the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars rock! September 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Cynthia Eden has to be one of my ALL TIME favorites. She's so GOOD at diving into a story quickly, wrapping you up in the plot and characters and before you know it the end is there and you're like NOO!!!!!!! Bleed for me is a vampire and god (mythical) novel. It was oh so hot, oh so smexy and holy mother fantastic! I won't go into the plot, just know it is worth every single second you take to read it. It's short, but just perfect. I loved it and all her books. Highly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Reading August 22, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Sun god looks to take a mate, vampires need not apply. Unless you happen to be really smoking hot and give good chase.

Loved it! Both of my favorites wrapped up in one hot cute sexy love story. When you mix a Greek god and a vampire that just has to lead to some hot times. Most ironic though is that Apollo is the Sun God and the female he happens to want to claim is a vampire.

I adore alpha men and Apollo has all that in spades. He’s bossy, arrogant and protects what he claims as his. He’s just bumping around looking for a good time and bored out of his mind. In walks Terese (love her name) a walking vision in pale skin and dark hair, looking to feed after she has spent quite a bit of time talking herself into it.

It was very intriguing that a vampire thought that maybe a god could be harmed. This short had some awesome banter between all the characters. I had a lot of fun with this, the characters and the story. This seems like the first book of a potential series, but I don’t see a second one listed anywhere. Thankfully this story was a good standalone.

A few scorching scenes mixed with a bit of danger then topped off with some sweetness. Again, it’s a winner for me and I would love to read more from this writer. Do I recommend it? Yes!
