At the beginning of "Blend Crafters" the singer compels us to consider the question: "What good is melody, what good is music if it ain't possessed in something sweet?" Though the singer never offers an answer the music implies that music without soul, music that isn't possessed in something sweet really isn't music at all. On "Blend Crafters" DJ Nu-Mark of Jurassic 5 fame and Pomo unquestionably demonstrate that they are turntable masters, putting forth some of the best hip-hop instrumentals I've had the pleasure of hearing. The instrumentals offered on this album are fresh, exciting and nothing short of wonderful. Be good to yourself today and give those ears some great music to listen to.

I would give this 5 stars in a heartbeat were the album a bit longer... and normally I'm all fine and good with the artists' work even when it's short, but unfortunately the tracks on this album are so fine that you're left wanting MUCH more... especially the closing track, which doesn't even reach 3 minutes. I'd gladly pay triple for a remix version of this album that simply stretched some of the tracks out!

This is a must have album. Even if you are not a fan of hip/hop fusions, this is the album for you. Try it with the DJ Nu-Mark "Hands on" album. you will like it.
