If you prepare correctly, this rice could be tasty and unique. My experience is: 1. rinse with water throughly until the water in the rice is crystal clear(never smoky)2.soak in water for a few hours before cooking(to guarantee the rice will be tender and tasty)3. turn the rice over after 20 min cooking(to make sure each grain is well heated/cooked), and then leave it to cook another 20-30 min. There, you'll enjoy your tangy speckled sushi.

P.S. If you like, add a little raw sugar for the flavor.
