Book Description

May 5, 2001
Cults that use children as sexual objects in their rituals and commit human sacrifice on their altars exist in the United states of America. Members of these cults include powerful people in business and government. How does a small girl survive a childhood of sexual abuse from her father and ritual abuse from the cult? Dissociation! This book is the story of dredging up these lost, painful memories and bringing to them a healing process. It shows a hidden world that is carefully concealed. This is not a bedtime story!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Truth, October 27, 2004

This review is from: Blessed : Reclaiming My Life from the Horrors of Ritual Abuse (Paperback)
As promised, I bought and read this book. If you are in a healing stage you

will find useful guidance and understanding, and certainly the road to self

acceptance in this book. Unfortunately, there are many in this world who

have suffered the damage that abuse can provide. Children deserve a world

where they are valued for who and what they are...as they are. Let us take

these lessons of healing from abuse and translate them into a new

generation where love of self begins at birth, where we no longer have to

prove whether stories are true or false, and where we begin to value life

and the human experience in all its glory.

Healing from abuse? This book will give you some guidelines, some deeper

understanding of what you are going through. The experience is that of the

author. The growing number of healed will one day show us that this way

will no longer be needed. May we all know the 'peace within'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truth Be Told, August 20, 2007
This review is from: Blessed : Reclaiming My Life from the Horrors of Ritual Abuse (Paperback)
The greatest obstacle any witness to terror, miracle, or _anything_ for that matter, faces is that of believability. Think about it. There are people, despite all evidence to the contrary, who deny the Holocaust, with all manner of elaborate explanations for the existance of said "evidence."

Rosie Daymore tells her story, and tells it well. Her evidence is her word, and her word is her life. Who of us can say otherwise about ourselves? Thankfully, there are people with the courage and bravery of Rosie to tell us her life experiences with cogency and strength. Such a life is not "ordinary," or "normal," by any stretch of the imagagination, which is precisely why we need to hear about it. Lest anyone think that such atrocities can not possibly touch their own lives, think again. When silence and apathy is allowed to flourish, misery and torment abound.

The author does an excellent job of sharing her world and her title is apt. I highly recommend this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terribly misleading, May 16, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Blessed : Reclaiming My Life from the Horrors of Ritual Abuse (Paperback)
The problems with this book are many. Among these are the assumption that the author is telling the truth, that there are secret, powerful "cults" out there that are committing dreadful acts. Second, it assumes that disassociation comes about naturally as a result of mental trauma. In truth, the only people who have ever had this disorder only developped it while under psychiatric care.
The author does not seem to realize any of this, and, in fact, states repeatedly that the opposite of both is true. She seems to think that the "Recovered Memories" the her counselor forced into her head are true. She does not deserve any of my pity, however, because she wrote this work of fiction that she disguised as truth, and because it is such works that lead to innocent people getting killed by those who wish to oppress these innocent people's religions.
Other than Christianity, there are no cults that abuse children extant in the world today. This author seems to hold that the opposite is true, and tells this to all of the gullible little sheep out there. My advice: Avoid this book. To find out the truth about religions read materials written by their founders/ members.
