Although Matt Redman is a great song writer and musician, his true anointing is as a worshipper. This excellent live recording allows us a glimpse of Matt's sensitivity to the Spirit's leading in worship, without ever compromising production quality.

Producer Nathan Nockels has given the whole project an inspired sound. On several tracks, strings have been overdubbed for a brilliant blending of live and studio elements. And, in a particularly moving moment, the recording of "The Father's Song" captures Matt's intimately whispered praises to his Father God. Throughout the whole CD, the crowd noise is kept to a minimum.

This is an excellent "Best Of" that preserves the familiarity of the original songs while adding enough newness to make them fresh. I am truly moved to worship by this CD, and believe you will be, too.

The CD is enhanced with a couple of nice extras. The first is the memorable video recording of Matt's performance of "Heart of Worship" at the Atlanta Facedown Songwriter's Conference. The second is an interview with Matt, where he talks about several of the songs on the CD. It's a nice feature, but seems a little scripted to me.

If you like this CD (or love live worship recordings in general), be sure to check out Matt's Facedown CD and DVD, which were recorded at the same songwriter's conference as Blessed Be Your Name Vol. 1. The Facedown recordings are exceptionally Spirit filled!

I like a lot of worship leaders out there, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, David Crowder to name a few. However, I have come to love Matt Redman, and he is by far my favorite worship leader out there. Every album that he has put out is stellar, and Blessed Be Your Name is spectacular for a live event. The vocals are easy to hear and understand, while on other live albums they sometimes seem outdone by the crowd noise or too much bass. In some cases where the vocals are outstanding, the music is subdued. Not here. Each instrument is elegantly showcased. Standout tracks on this disk would have to be the title track, "Holy Moment", "Undignified", "Facedown", and my favorite Redman track of all time, "Better is One Day". If you like live music and worship music, this album is for you.

This CD has many of the praise songs that are both familiar and appreciated. A good listening experiece to take you into another realm. Definately recommended.

Matt does such a great job of worship on this cd. It is a live album but recorded in high fidelity and sounds great. He plays all the best songs and in such a fantastic way.

This is a really awesome worship filled CD by Matt Redman. It will bring you right to the Throne of God. Highly recommend to all. A++++

This is a great CD! Although, since it is a live CD, so all of the songs don;t have that off the radio sound. Also, many of the songs have been recorded by other artist other than Matt Redman, so, although they are HIS songs, they don't always sound the same as what you have heard before. That being said, the CD is a wonderful selection of Matt Redman's worship music. It is uplifting & inspiring.

There are singers (galore) & then, there are Worshippers!!Like David Ruis/Paul Baloche/Brian Doersken & the marvellous Jason Upton, Matt Redman's worship-offering truly inspires the heart & lifts the human soul-Matt's voice, too, is freed from the 'confines' of just singing or mildly worshipping, to true, true PASSIONATE worship("it is time for the true worshippers , to worship HIM, in Spirit & in Truth!!!!)
Matt Redman is easily the most inspired worshipper Britain has seen....highly individual vocal style, passionate words, with the ability to raise the roof on Praise!!!..with songs on here such as "Blessed be the Name", "Face-down","Heart of Worship" e.t.c. e.t.c., this is a great compilation of some of Matt's best songs!!!BUY!!!

You can't go wrong with a Matt Redman cd. It is filled with powerful worship songs that keep you praising God all day!

The very power of this album lies in its being recorded while brother Matt was worshiping his heart out . . . LIVE. He is very passionate and in the moment, and from the background response of the audience, it's evident that they were on board with him. Favorite songs are Blessed Be Your Name, The Heart Of Worship, Holy Moment, Let My Words Be Few, and I Will Offer Up My Life. My sister played this many, many times, and for months it seemed like I got something new to encourage me every time. If you buy one new Christian CD this year, let it be this one!

Matt Redman / Blessed be your name / The songs of Matt Redman Vol.1: Matt Redman is the personification of the modern `Praise' movement in music. He is also the best performer in that movement. This CD does have his greatest worship songs. This is a Five Star album.
