3.0 out of 5 stars Catchy, Aggressive, but No Identity, August 18, 2008
This review is from: Blessings from a Blackened Sky (Audio CD)
So while listening to Blessings from a Blackened Sky, I couldn't help but feel like I was listening to a mediocre album from any number of other bands. The music itself sounds like the generic metalcore stuff, shouted vocals, catchy leads, and breakdowns galore, which can be good or bad. Still, the thing that got me most is that some songs sound like they could be on a Caliban album and nobody would notice. Other songs sound just like Killswitch Engage, the same riffs, leads, beats, and vocal style. Fun to listen to but just nothing that hasn't been done better before. Don't get me wrong though, if you like those bands or metalcore/new gen melodeath, you'll feel right at home and probably love this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome and overlooked!, July 3, 2008
This review is from: Blessings from a Blackened Sky (Audio CD)
The Sorrow is an amazing band that is a cross between Killswitch Engage and Unearth. Very catchy and very brutal. Trust me, if you are into the whole Metalcore scene than check them out. Honestly, find it somewhere else because these prices of over 20 bucks is rediculous for any disc. Visit their Myspace and give em a listen. They should have ways to buy their disc to support them and for much cheaper.
