5.0 out of 5 stars A Bitter-Sweet Story, and a Discovery of Life's True Meanings, May 10, 2009
By
Jen Kennedy (Centennial, Colorado United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Blind Faith - an uplifting journey empowering one man to live and love again (Perfect Paperback)
Over the past 4 years, I've read about sixty novels and although I liked most of them, NONE immersed me into the wonderfulness and bitter sweetness of the story, nor spoke to my inner spirit the way BLIND FAITH did.

Dr. Paul Lassiter's story touched me on so many levels, there's no way to adequately describe my feelings about it in a short review, but I will say that this is the kind of fresh, creatively suspenseful story that makes one's time with the book a very memorable experience. The story drew me in even as it soothed and tore at my emotions. The ending was unexpected, but totally meaningful and profound.

Michael Kintz is truly a master at story-craft, simile, metaphor, and analogy, and I found myself wanting to high-light `quotable quotes' in almost every paragraph!

I'll never forget this book. It's a keeper and will occupy a special place in my bookshelf for the times I want to return to it for inspiration and encouragement. It will also become an ongoing gift idea for my friends and relatives.

I would highly recommend this book. It will definitely have an impact in a way that will stay with you for a long time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Review Of Blind Faith, May 6, 2009
This review is from: Blind Faith - an uplifting journey empowering one man to live and love again (Perfect Paperback)
Through beautiful description and real life emotion, MIchael Kintz delivers the reader into the world of an emotionally wounded Paul Lassiter. The humor that carries the main character through his tragedies tempers his turmoil well. Mr. Kintz takes the reader by the hand, revealing truth so many ignore. Life goes on and has the possibility of being better than ever imagined.

5.0 out of 5 stars BLIND FAITH - Author's comments, April 17, 2009
This review is from: Blind Faith - an uplifting journey empowering one man to live and love again (Perfect Paperback)
I'm Michael Kintz, author of BLIND FAITH. I'm a Nicholas Sparks fan; read 'The Wedding' twice, 'The Notebook' thrice. Wonderful books, I highly recommend. I believe a good story shouldn't force emotion into the reader, but instead, draw the emotion from you. So, I wrote BLIND FAITH to inspire you, dear reader, to evaluate what is important in your life and appreciate those things daily, while simultaneously strumming your heart-strings and wringng your tear ducts dry.
Secondly, I enjoy a quick read. We all are blessed with 24 hours in a day (which never seems enough), and your time is precious, so BLIND FAITH'S chapters are short, with lots of meat, very little fat. (It's healthier than the average novel!) And it's a page turner. Go ahead, try to put it down before you've finished. (wink).
BLIND FAITH is scheduled for launch April 22, 2009. After the stress of tax week, you deserve to relax with a good book. But keep a tissue handy. I look forward to your feedback, comments, questions. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a pleasant surprise!, June 10, 2009
This review is from: Blind Faith - an uplifting journey empowering one man to live and love again (Perfect Paperback)
I have to say, I am not usually a big fan of anything labeled "romance" or "inspirational," so when my family convinced me to pick up this book, I was all set to be bored for a chapter or two and then put it down. However, I can admit when I am wrong! Dr. Lassiter is a regular guy facing problems that many of face in our day-to-day lives. The medical details are realistic and obviously come from a first-hand knowledge of the field, and add a great extra dimension to the story. I also appreciated the author's subtle humor. This book has a little something to offer even us skeptics!

5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect summer read, June 10, 2009
This review is from: Blind Faith - an uplifting journey empowering one man to live and love again (Perfect Paperback)
From the first pages of Blind Faith, the reader is plunged into an emotional journey along with the main character. Dr. Lassiter confronts his past and tries to rebuild the his life, not without a few blunders, and the story unfolds with subtle wit, unexpected humor, and flashes of insight. After coming to know the doctor, you will be unavoidably moved by the story's surprising resolution.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprise, June 3, 2010
By
This review is from: Blind Faith - an uplifting journey empowering one man to live and love again (Perfect Paperback)
I do not like Nicholas Sparks and romance is not my preferred pastime. Picked up BLIND FAITH by Michael Kintz on the whim of a friend. From the beginning Dr. Lassiter got my attention. With his whimsical escapades and down-to-earth life experiences that plague most of us average people almost every day the author kept me interested and satisfied throughout the book. BLIND FAITH is an easy and perfect summer read. The flowing language is there to navigate you through the ups and downs of complicated life lessons. I even cried. Pick it up, you won't regret it.

4.0 out of 5 stars More Than a Romance Novel, January 23, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Okay so it's a bit unusual for me to give a romance novel more than a 3-star rating. However, this is more than your run-of-the-mill romance. Read on...

On the advice of friends and coworkers, Dr. Paul Lassiter goes from being a recluse to flirting and blind dates. A year after his divorce and he's in for a rude awakening as he, after several years embarks once again on the dating scene. A bisexual female coach wants to get to know him. His first blind date set up by his lawyer friend Larry, is unbeknownst to him, a motorcycle grandma who takes him on a scary-hairy ride to a motorcycle bar. What next? Or should I ask "Who's next?"

This story is funny and without a doubt could have stood on its own without the bit more than implied sex scenes.

I much appreciated "Blind Faith" being quite different from the usual romance novel. There's humor and also sadness. Read it to find out more.

This review is from: Blind Faith - an uplifting journey empowering one man to live and love again (Perfect Paperback)
I just began Michael Kintz book, Blind Faith, last night. I had a very hard time putting it down. I read over half of it, staying up past 2 a.m., I can't wait to finish it this evening! What a wonderful and lovely book, full of inspiration and hope! I wish I would have read this book months ago, although my timing of reading it now seems to lift my spirits at a most needed time. Thank you, Michael for the gift of the book and I can't wait to finish your precious masterpiece! :)
