5 STARS ~ [BLIND Her With BLISS} has it all.Characters that are well developed and a setting you relate to from the first paragraph...I would definitely recommend it as a read. ~ To Be Read Pile

5 STARS ~ by far, the best contemporary romance I have read this year. ~ Romance Junkies

From the Author

Blind Her With Bliss is the first book in the Dangerous Affairs romantic suspense series. Set in Maine, I've drawn from my own experiences of small town living on the coast. The middle child of five, I also enjoyed including the family dynamics of sibling rivalry and love in these sisters' stories.

4.0 out of 5 stars Vanessa's Review August 7, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Reviewed at: [...]

What can I say about Julie Tilling? The middle child in a family of all girls, she is held responsible for everything. Being a sounding board for her sisters, a doormat for them to walk all over, the backbone of her family. This is who she is...at least that is what everyone sees. When her best friend, Jason, commits suicide she can't believe it and is determined to find out the truth...no matter the cost. In a dank nightclub, she discovers more about herself than I think she ever could have imagined.

Damon, or Demon as he is known in the night scene, is your typical bad boy. Insulting, chauvinistic, and sexy as hell. This is his life...and he hates it. With dreams bigger than his small time radio and DJ gig, he longs for simple comforts in a job where he doesn't have to leave himself at the door to step into the personality that the world loves to hate.

I loved Julie's innocence and the fact that she grew so much in a short period of time. Completely coming out of her comfort zone with a few Long Island Iced Teas, a mystery needing to be solved, and a gorgeous man that she just can't seem to resist was just the boost she needed to shed her doormat lifestyle and come into her own. She is the perfect example of what can happen when you just put yourself out there and let life take you over. She and Damon are a terrific match. Each able to teach each other about what they are missing in their lives.

This sweet story was a quick read. I loved it! The relationship between Julie and Damon was a perfect mix of heartwarming and steamy. Both had something new to offer the other.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and sexy! April 29, 2011
By Ella P.
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This was a great read! I loved how 'real' Julie was as a woman, daughter and sister. The author did a great job creating characters with dimension and character. Damon was a hot, bad-boy with a heart of gold. Theres nothing sexier than that!! Kudos to Nina for a book that was not only passionate and sexy, but sweet and real.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Romance! November 28, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Nina Pierce has masterly created a book that is both hot and steamy, while being fun to read. The story doesn't get lost to the romantic scenes. The characters are believable and honest. I felt for Julie as I was reading about her family dynamics- it was something that could have been in any family. I absolutely love Damon, everyone needs a good bad boy sometimes. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat as you race along with Julie and Damon, while Julie tries to figure out just what happened to Jason. I hope that there are more perfect blends like this from Pierce in the future. Spot on!

1.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre Story with insulting overtones August 12, 2012
By NekoSan
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This review contains Major Spoilers.

Overall, the actual story here is fairly decent. The mystery is okay and the romance is decent and the sex scenes are sexy. Had the author just left it at that, I would have been fine and rated it 3 stars. What pushed it over into "rage" territory for me was the really insulting attitude the author had towards sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular.

First we have the heavy-handed "Oh, I'm not homophobic - really! Some of my best friends are homosexuals!" attitude. And to prove it, the main character's sister is cited as being bi-sexual in a commited lesbian relationship. Fine. (And oh yeah, there's a reason why the author is so quick to make a big deal of that...) Then there's the mysterious tape of the victim engaging in sex with another man. No big deal beyond who is the mystery man and is he our killer? Again, Fine.

Then about 2/3 of the way through the book, the attitude changes. Now we have a female "psychiatrist" who claims that homosexuality is a "choice" and can be "changed" or better yet "cured". WTF??? Oh yes! she claims that she "cured" the victim of his homosexuality and that he really loved her and not his gay ex-lover which is why the ex-lover turned into a homocidal maniac and killed the vicitm, etc. I was sure at this point that she was going to be the killer based on that twisted logic but No! it was in fact the gay "ex" who couldn't handle the fact that the victim had been "cured" of his homosexuality and who "chose" to love a woman instead of another man. In fact, the main character makes a point to note that now the gay killer is "burning in hell" and how sorry she feels for the "psychaitrist" and the victim whose tragic love story was cut short.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot But Tender Too! June 25, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Terrific story by one of my favorite erotic romance authors. The sex is hot, but tender, and the plotline is unique. I loved this one! (The cover is beautiful too.)

3.0 out of 5 stars Too much plot for the format August 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This was not a badly written book, but it seemed like the author forgot who her characters were after the first couple of chapters. Each character was set up and described to be a certain "type," but then acted out of character, which proved confusing.

I feel like the author was trying to put too much into this short-form book, and would have been better off actually exploring fewer plot points in more depth instead of cramming so many ideas in and then not exploring them at all. For example: the shock-jock really wanted to be a classical pianist, and I would have liked to have learned more about that.

And I never did figure out what the title had to do with anything.
