4.0 out of 5 stars Eclectic Song Styling Hardly "Blind"
If anything, Blind is a cumulative, highly varied listening experience encompassing all of the better stylistic elements from the first three Icicle Works albums, resulting in the what sounds like the group taking a musical "final exam", if you will. This album is a fitting send off to the "original" Icicle Works and highly satisfying listening...

2.0 out of 5 stars The Blind Leading the Blind
This is not an awful album, but if i were in the process of whittling down my CD collection again---this would be one of the first to go. I bought this CD on the merit of one of their other albums and was mostly disappointed. Ringo Starr fans may want to pick this up, if for no other reason than to hear Ringo's son drum on this CD. If anything, Blind is a cumulative, highly varied listening experience encompassing all of the better stylistic elements from the first three Icicle Works albums, resulting in the what sounds like the group taking a musical "final exam", if you will. This album is a fitting send off to the "original" Icicle Works and highly satisfying listening experience to boot.

If genre-jumping scares you, no matter how ultimately cohesive the collection is simply because the songs are great, I would advise you to stick with less adventurous musical acts. For the rest of us, Blind is your man.

5.0 out of 5 stars McNabb Eclectic And Electric, February 4, 2008

The Icicle Works were always Ian McNabb's vehicle into musical explorations. Anthemic compositions combined with top-notch musicianship make this collection of songs an enjoyable listening experience. What makes it difficult is also what makes it fun as McNabb constantly assumes different musical persona's. A commercial liability but a treat nonetheless this album captures McNabb in transition from being a group member leaving the 80's behind to becoming a solo artist in the 90's.
