Book Description

Blind Love is Volume 3 of the Maurice Ousley series. Maurice had decided to get plastered after a hard day of searching for his missing fiancee, Gabrielle. She disappeared a week before their scheduled wedding in June, and Maurice had been searching for her the entire summer to no avail. The police couldn't find any evidence to suggest that she was murdered, so they called off their search efforts. Maurice conducted his own search efforts, and the despair of being unsuccessful had taken its toll on him.

Maurice tried to get his mind off of things by focusing on his sister Erin's and his best friend and teammate Malik's wedding instead that was taking place on the last weekend in August. He began to put the pieces of the puzzle together once his friend Agent Stanton told him that Gabrielle was hiding out from her sociopath ex-boyfriend. He would soon discover that Gabrielle wasn't the woman he thought she was, and their inevitable meeting would have dire consequences.

About the Author

Blind Love is the third installment of the Maurice Ousley series, and this drama goes back and forth from the Midwest to the west coast. I've always loved to travel and visit different cities, and I love mystery and detective shows. I simply combined my love for both things and created a story that I hope readers will find captivating.

3.0 out of 5 stars Blind Love November 17, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Blind Love by Mark O'Neal is a story about Marcus an NBA basketball player whose fiance Gabrielle disappears on the eve of their wedding without a trace. Marcus searches for her continuously. When he doesn't find her his search uncovers secrets about her past . Marcus tries to move on and start a new relationship with Stephanie. She also tells him about the lies that Gabrielle has told him. In Gabrielle's past she was involved with a drug dealer and she stole money from him. Just when you think Marcus has moved on Gabrielle calls and wants him back. Will Marcus take her back and marry her? The story is overall an easy read but is a little confusing in the beginning when the author introduces so many characters at once

3.0 out of 5 stars Blind Love September 27, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Blind Love by Mark Oneal is the story of Maurice, a NBA player whose fiance vanishes shortly before they were to be married. As you read the book, you follow Maurice as he searches for his fiance (Gabrielle) and slowly learns about her past from ex girlfriends, friends and family members. He finds out that Gabrielle had been mixed up in some drug money and now that he has learned the truth he is trying to make things right so they can continue their lives together. All of the little stories in the book all get tied together in the end and somehow all the characters link up in an interesting way. I'm not sure how I feel about how the book ended, it left me wanting to know more about where everyone's lives ended up. I didn't feel like there was much closure. Apart from a few minor typos, the book was well written and the story just goes to show the reader that true love really is blind and can forgive many things.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed reading this book January 20, 2012
By BinaP.
Format:Kindle Edition
I just finished reading Blind Love by Mark Oneal and I really enjoyed the book. It is not your typical romance novel, which is what I usually read; this book was much more gritty and dark. I enjoyed it more than I expected and I think part of the reason is because of the suspense and not know what was going to happen next.

More About the Author

My name is Mark O'Neal, and I'm an author who loves to interact and connect with my readers. I mainly write about the experience of growing up in inner-city Chicago and mold my storyline and characters from that experience. I started writing after reaching a crossroad in my life; I was unfulfilled at my job, and after some deep soul-searching and prayer, God showed me the way to go. I've been writing since 2006, and the ability to be able to translate my life experiences into fiction novels has been very rewarding and therapeutic.

I decided to self publish because I like the idea of being my own boss and translating my own vision and creativity into a novel. I didn't want to wait months or even years to get published, and the Internet has provided an opportunity for indie authors like me to get noticed. I've tried several professions throughout my adult life such as banking, retail management, and shipping/receiving; but nothing has come close to satisfying me the way that writing does. I don't do it for the money because if I did, I would have given up a long time ago.

I once read that in order to become an expert at something, a person has to put at least 10,000 hours into honing his or her craft. I've worked at least four hours a day writing and marketing my work for roughly eight years, and after doing the math, I've put in well over 10,000 hours as an indie author. With that being said, readers can trust that I take my vocation very seriously and wouldn't cheat them by writing stories that lack substance.

With eight books under my belt (seven fiction and one nonfiction) and one short-story narrative, I'm currently working on my eighth fiction novel titled Vigilante. It's a story about a middle-age man who ironically reaches a crossroad in his life after being laid off from a job that he held for almost twenty years and after divorcing his wife of nearly twenty years also. He had a son who was tragically killed in the park while playing basketball, and he will stop at nothing to find the killer(s) responsible for his death. Vigilante will be released soon.
