5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, April 23, 2005
This is an awesome book! Pam finds out a new friend's pony is blind. The Pony Pals help the new girl train her pony. The girl's parents expect her to go into jumping contests. Will she be able to keep her pony? This book shows that people/animals with disabilities can do things just like we can.

The series consistently showcases positive messages about how to work together, and shows 10-year old friends solving problems, usually in a competent, mature manner. In an earlier book in the series, it is discovered that one of the girls has dyslexia, and her friends are matter-of-fact in the way they accept, accommodate, and show respect. This theme continues throughout the series. My 6-year old granddaughter loves these books, and eagerly anticipates our reading sessions.
