5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, wow and WOW!
Blind Trust is STUPENDOUS!!! I could not put it down. As usual, Blacstock has combined romance, Faith, love, hope, mystery, suspense and excellant Christian, family values to make a wonderful book. The characters are believable and she portrays the emotions so well. I could almost see the scenes as the story progressed. This is a book that I highly recomend if you want...

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with the Second Chances Series in general
I hate to be the wet blanket here, among all the other steller reviews on Blind Trust. Actually Blind Trust is the only book in the Second Chances series that I actually read all the way through, and that's only because I wanted to find out what happened with Sam and Madeline. Let me say that I L-O-V-E-D the Cape Refuge and Newpointe 911 series by Blackstock--WOW is all...

5.0 out of 5 stars Riveting, August 24, 2002
This review is from: Blind Trust (Second Chances Series #3) (Paperback)
Terri Blackstock penned another winner with "Blind Trust," Page after page of this well written thriller draws and keeps you in the midst of a battle against the forces of evil. A gut-wrenching narrative that has you wondering just who are the good guys and who can you trust. A fabulous example of learning to 'let go and let God.' If you haven't read any of Terri Blackstock's novels buy one today and you will soon be a Blackstock fan.

I hate to be the wet blanket here, among all the other steller reviews on Blind Trust. Actually Blind Trust is the only book in the Second Chances series that I actually read all the way through, and that's only because I wanted to find out what happened with Sam and Madeline. Let me say that I L-O-V-E-D the Cape Refuge and Newpointe 911 series by Blackstock--WOW is all I can say. But the Second Chances series was a big disappointment. I just kept getting a sense that the female characters (with the exception of Laney in the first book) were selfish angry pissy foot stomping women, with their anger and hostility towards the men who loved them. For example when Sherry hid the pocket knife in her sock to protect herself from Clint -- I mean COME ON! I wanted to smack her--Clint at that point already proved to her he wasn't going to hurt her and that he loved her. The men in these series are great guys and the women behave towards them like emotional spoiled brats. I just got the feeling there wasn't a lot of Christian behavior from Sherry, Andi, or Erin.

Terri Blackstock is one of the best authors I have read in a long time. She has been able to weave fascinating life-like stories about regular people, while incorporating a spiritual and Christian undertone. I can't wait to read and finish ALL her books!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book!, July 6, 2011
This review is from: Blind Trust (Second Chances Series #3) (Paperback)
In my opinion, Terri Blackstock is the "queen of christian suspense!" Blind Trust is one of her "older" books and is copyrighted in 1997. Also, the third book in the Second Chance series. With that said, somehow I missed this fantastic series!
Blind Trust starts out with excitement and the suspense just keeps building!
Sherry Grayson was two weeks away from becoming the bride of Clint Jessup when Clint up.and.disappeard-without a trace!
Sherry grieved for eight agonizingly long months....finally believing that Clint would be forever gone. When he suddenly reappears!
Clint has a secret and he can't share it with Sherry right now but he needs Sherry's "blind trust" in this situation. Sherry fights her "inner truth." Until all the facts start coming together and she begins to see the case that Clint is up against.
Then there is Sherry's room mate, Madeline. Madeline, inadvertently, gets caught up in Sherry's action and drawn into the suspense. Madeline has a calm sense of what is right and keeps telling Sherry "to trust."
Clint's "bodyguard" and good friend, Sam, is an enigma. Sam keeps Clint level headed and watches Clint's back. Sam sings off tune, not really caring if the words are correct---he sings for stress relief.
I thought I had the story "all figured out" and then "boom!" the truth is presented! This makes for a great mystery/suspense read!
Trusting God, sweet romance and faith are also parts of this incredible read.
Loved, loved this book! As the saying goes, "an oldie but goodie!"

5.0 out of 5 stars Revision of an earlier romance novel by the author, October 2, 2010
This review is from: Blind Trust (Second Chances Series #3) (Paperback)
Terri Blackstock's "Second Chances" series are all revisions of her earlier novels, these revisions having Christian themes. This is a fast paced romantic thriller which picks up from the ending of WHEN DREAMS CROSS in which Sherry Grayson's fiancee, Clint Jessup, disappears just before their wedding. Eight months later, he pops up with a mysterious friend Sam, and Sherry finds herself and her friend Madeline in danger from potential killers.Terri Blackstock creates her usual style of suspense combined with Christian values and this is definitely one of her best.

This book was excellent. I have enjoy all three of these books by Terri Blackstock. It shows that even though we are Christians, we still have ups and downs, life is not perfect, but God will be there to catch us.
