4.0 out of 5 stars great music--ok blues, July 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Blind Willie McTell 1927-1935: Doing that Atlanta Strut (Audio CD)
The Georgian blues of Willie McTell is more melodic, jazzy, and light than the Delta blues. However, his honest and soulful voice gives his music the same immediacy as, say, Robert Johnson's. Also, these recordings are of quite high quality for their time. Recommended, but not strictly the blues, if that's what you're looking for.
