A little strange, but nonetheless compelling,

Blindsight, is a narration from a now elderly woman Alice, who receives a surprise visit from her brother's grandchild demanding to know what has become of his grandfather.The book is self described as being "shuffled like a deck of cards" The novel leaps around in time as Alice describes her childhood, marriages and the present. Despite being somewhat waffle-ridden the story is engrossing if unorthodox. The novel is probably better suited for those who like something a bit alternative, their is no feel-good ending or even justice meeted out. The novel is simply about a family and what happened to them. I must admit I can't help the feeling there were subtleties that I missed, but I still recommend the book.
