5.0 out of 5 stars IS THERE A PART 2?
Before I go any further, I must say that this book is incredible! I almost never, ever read novels being an avid reader of poetry. I met Mister's mother by chance and got a copy of the book. I let it sit on my coffee table for one day and then decided to read it while I did my laundry. Needless to say, I never took my clothes out of the washer! I hope they're still...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not very good
I normally don't read these type of "street lit" books, but a co-worker assured me this book was different. Whatever, same typical characters and the same old predictable story. Unoriginal and uninspiring. Oh and I hate authors who write fiction and write them selves into the storyline. Would not recommend this to anyone to read and certainly not to purchase. It basically...

I hope they're still there! Blinking Red Light had me glued to the pages. I couldn't put the book down except when I had to go to work the next day. The suspense and comedy had me reeling! I just had to know what would happen next. It sort of reminds me of my all time favorite story, "The Man Who Lived Underground" by Richard Wright.

To Mister: Keep on writing. You're on your way to becoming one of the greats!

And to the curious reader of this review: BUY THE BOOK NOW

A friend of mind went into the Tower Book Store and purchased Blinking Red Light for herself and allowed me to read it first. When I opened up the book and read the first two pages I was hooked. The story was so amazing that I just could not put it down. May I give you a round of applause Mister Mann Frisby for writing such an EXCELLENT book. It is the perfect example of how a good guy with one bad friend can completely turn your life around. I truly feel that any person who has grown up in Philly can relate to the book. I advise anyone who reads this review to puchase the book. Believe me it will be money well spent. Once again thank you for such a great story. I can hardly wait until the release of your next book. Until your next book is released peace be with you.

I can't begin to even tell you how incredibly good this book is...CONGRATS MISTER! Mister and I went to Penn State together and even as a freshman he always stood out from the rest. Great book. Can't wait to read the next one.

I purchased this book on the recommedation of two of our book club members. I was not impressed by the cover or the title, which did not give much away. Narrated by a nameless male, the story is about two cousins who are paid to have sex with women as part of a blackmail scheme. But the elaborate plan starts to unreel when someone gets greedy and all hell breaks loose. Mr Frisby you've got rhythm. Your characters are true to life. You did not over power us with a lot of different personalities. You also stayed true to the storyline and the highlights came at decent intervals throughtout the book. I especially loved the climax to the story, that's what you call "art imitating life" or "pulled from todays headlines". Yes this book is worth the price. I will be looking out for "wifebeater" in 2005.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read, July 30, 2002

After starting to read Blinking Red Light i knew that I wasn't going to rest easy until I completed the book. I began reading while under the dryer getting my hair done (had to pass the time somehow) and made my stylist wait to finish my hair so that I could finish a chapter. By the time my hair was tossed, I was nearly done the book. I sped off to work where I put all my calls on hold until I was done.

I was very impressed with the first novel from a dynamic writer. This story was truly a roller coaster ride that had me guessing, wondering, and anticipating everyone's next move. I especially liked the mystery behind the main character. Never have I read a story that revealed so much about a person, and yet I never caught their name. It really made the entire story surreal, and had me wondering if some of my acquaintances could have been snagged by the Blinking Red Light.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Never Boring Story, July 30, 2002

Mister,
I must say I don't get to read many books, but this can be a best seller. It is full of suspense, action and the book can be hard to put down at times. Where do you get such an imagination of your characters. I observe people very well and I must say these characters "are" real characters or should I say realistic. I wish you the best success on your career in writing books. I'll be waiting to hear about future publishings, maybe even a movie deal (I think this story would make an excellent movie). At the end you also give a lot of things to think about in reference to life, religion, etc. and that was done very well. I must admit the story had a couple of funny parts to it too. When I was done I was a little disappointed, because I wanted to read more. (Fooey!! it was over!) Good luck and I will keep my eyes open for the next one. Again it was a very good story!

I HAD THIS BOOK SITTING ON A SHELF FOR ALMOST A YEAR BEFORE I DECIDED TO PICK IT UP AND FINISH IT. I HAD LET ONE OF MY FRIENDS READ IT FIRST AND SHE SAID IT WAS HORRIBLE, SO THAT WAS MY DELAY IN READING THE BOOK. BUT AFTER I PICKED IT UP, I REALLY BEGAN TO EJOY THE BOOK. THERE WAS SOME VERY BORING PARTS BUT OVERALL I BELIEVE IT WAS AN EXCELLENT READ. (I MOST LIKELY WOULD NEVER READ IT AGAIN)

ok, this was a good book. it was interesting and well written and it kept me on the edge of my seat. there was always something that happended that you were waiting to find out. it had a lot of action. but the ending! nothing happened to dex's triflin azz and herb didnt get his either, not like i wanted him to. and plus, dude, ( i called him dude because they never mentioned his name) was kind of weak, he didnt handgle stuff like he should have. if something had happened to dex and herb it would have been perfect. but other than that it was a really good book. i would recommend it, it had funny parts adn it really gets you into it. get this book! mmf did a good job on this one

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny stuff with a message, April 13, 2005
This review is from: Blinking Red Light (Paperback)
Blinking Red Light is very well written and incredibly intriguing. Mister Mann Frisby did an excellent job of keeping me interested in the story, which isn't easy. The characters were real and well defined. Frisby is funnier than funny. I rolled on this one folks.

But on the real side of things, Frisby dropped some serious messages that did not take away from the story.

In fact, I appreciate the fact that he offered alternatives to a life defined by wrong choice after wrong choice after wrong choice.

Continued success, Mister Mann! Keep doin' ya thang!

This book was so interesting I really enjoyed reading this book. I think it is great for teenagers to adults. Especially considering I am a high school student and I loved it and i am from philadelphia and i knew exactly what he was talking about. Even if you are not from Philadelphia you can get a vivid picture in you mind. But you just have to read it for yourself. SO GET IT!!!!
